During patch i get an error:

Patcher encountered an unhandled exception

Something went wrong during patching. Sorry :( -- We encounted this error:

Failed to download file "game.dll": one or more erroer occurred. An exception occurred during a WebClient request.

I have been playing without any problems before.

On a positive note, my mom made me some stellar mash potatoes.

No changes made to my system and was working fine prior to the latest round of bug fixes.

It works now.

When I do that and start the launcher with admin rights it still refers me to the website which in turn starts the game in user mode :(

When you mean download launcher manually I take it you download it from the website again from Manage Account on the bottom. But there's no new file in there it's just the same old thing.

Edit: Flagged "run as administrator" in the properties of uthgard.exe, error still persists.

open TCP port 10300-10310(remote port), UDP port 10400(remote port) on your firewall.
or stop your antivirus program shortly and do patch, then restart antivirus program after finished patch.

Why should I need to open these ports if noone else needs to?

Besides I don't have access to my router right now cuz a firmware update locked me out of the device :/

The weird thing is it actually downloads game.dll in the Daoc folder, it gets 3.725 KB big then it raises the exception.
Anyone know where I can find an error log file of the patcher?

At least in my case, my firewalls are always turned off and I have no anti-virus software installed at the moment. No Changes have been made to my system, this problem began after Feb 16th's reboot + bug fixes and occurs every time my patcher reaches 24% of the first file it downloads. My launcher is always running as administrator, and just double checked to make sure it was, I don't believe that to be the problem.

Tried again. The packet being sent is smaller but the error message still occurs about 46% in downloading the first file.

Same issue here.

*EDIT*
I found a solution :
Download manually the game.dll :*I cannot put the url here because I have too few post* patcher.uthgard + base.repo + game.dll (still got an error but I got the file anyway even if it seem to be incomplete)
Replace it in your DAOC folder
Restart the launcher and download finish correctly.
*EDIT*

For information, Avast is blocking this game.dll :
Object : /base.repo/game.dll
Infection : DRep
Processus : uthgard.exe

Desactivating Avast did not solve the download problem, neither running uthgard.exe as admin or deleting current game.dll.

Is this a programming issue?
I have VC redist 14.0.23506.0 and MS NET framework 4.6.01590 installed.
I also have the bug that the uth.dll process sometimes gets suspended when launching the game. Dunno if that helps. I have faith in you to fix the issue :)
