Can anyone tell me where I can find the INI files that contain quickbar info for my characters? As far as I remember they used to be in the Dark Age of Camelot folder, but I can't find any.

I've checked:
C:\Games\Dark Age of Camelot
and
C:\Users\Viio\Documents\Electronic Arts\Dark Age of Camelot

They both contain "default".ini files, but nothing for my characters.

Can anyone help?

I wonder if on Uthgard those files are saved server side? I had to reinstall all my DAoC files, and when I logged back into the game all my character's quickbars and UI setup was as I left it.

if you use windows xp,

1. check Tools-->folder option-->show hidden file and folder

2. then go to C:\Documents and Settings\user\Application Data\Electronic Arts\Dark Age of Camelot\LotM

Ah I've managed to find them. They're not hidden files so don't need to "Show All files and folders".

On Vista:
C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Roaming\Electronic Arts\Dark Age of Camelot\LotM

Does anyone know, where the default setting of the UI is stored nowadays?
Years before, it was the default.ini in the game dir, or e.g. the default1920.ini.
If it was replaced by a file with a fully configured UI, every newly created character had this ready-to-play UI from the start.

But this doesnt work anymore.
Anyone knows why?

In Win 7 this files for each char are stored in C:\Users\<User Name>\AppData\Roaming\Electronic Arts\Dark Age of Camelot\uth2

AppData is a hidden folder, you need to change folders config to see hidden folders

That's true but didn't answer my question.
The DAoC Client has a default setting stored, which is taken if you create a new char.
I want to change that file (and provide it in my custom user interface) - not each file that is created after logging in a new character for the 1st time.

1) make a new char and set the UI as you like it
2) save the YourCharName-1.ini file in above folder to a save place
3) everytime you make a new char, copy YourCharName-1.ini and paste it as YourNewCharName-1.ini in that folder

Is how I do it

Sure, thats how it has to be done now.

But years ago it was possible to change the default setting, and so I was able to provide a -how I call it- "ready to play - interface" for lots of screen resolutions in my custom UI modification (see signature).
That doesnt work anymore.. maybe the default setting seems to be "hardcoded" in the client now.
