yes im new and already better player than most. also i think i fully understand under wich circumstances most of the hardcore playerbase of this server developed this non adding nonsense, it mustve been on empty boxes where the very few players who kept playing there were lvl 50s part of 8man grps. Correct me if im wrong thou i always love to learn new things. As i said this game was not designed as a 8v8 arena, to me is not a surprise that fights get added by random people, small man grps and even other fgs. This is realm war, not a 8v8 arena as i said. I really think ure in the wrong game to get that feel of competitive gameplay thanks and enjoy. Id recomend call of duty, cs go or some kind of team arena game, lots of competitions there, also prizes so being hardcore about a game makes sense, maybe some of u should think about changing the game

go 8v8 against mid with 20% bonus dmg, its so competitive.

Yup, that is precisely why entire group is on the top 25 realm point holders on hib and your zerg guild holds a measely 2 spots. Our group successfully killed every single midgroup except for Telus with 2+ pugs while your group hasn't won a single "fair" fight and you constantly have to resort to zerging people down. I don't care about how your guild plays the game but it's absolutely laughable that a joke guild like you is trying to blame people who are actually trying to compete.

Good luck dodging every single midgroup on this server, I am sure you will be very succesful in RvR.

That ideologically is what creates 100+ zergs which is great for keeps and relics. However, there are small fights that happen outside of those big raids. If hibs stop respecting fights mids will too and mids have 10x the population out in RvR right now. Which means any fight you engage another group will swoop in and completely destroy any chance you have at winning a fight.

When people lose they log off, they don't sit around to form a 100+ zerg to have fun. Hibs are already fighting at a huge disadvantage with the relics, having people add on fights is only going to make it worse. At least when s**ter realmates add that group usually pulls off to give that group who got s**t on a chance. If you can't compete zerg, but don't add on groups who enjoy those small engagements. You will learn.

Booted has done just fine.

The problem is Mids have so many FGs rolling, one Hib FG gets snuffed out pretty easily.

Our small 40-50lvl , 6 man group stumbled on em one day last week, while they were fighting 3 Mid groups. We tried to help, but, well 3 FGs of mids.

So i can only say, <3 Booted and keep up the good work.

Even when one of their guys said we were Thrash, but hey, elitism, ive been there 10y ago :)

Anyone really looking for clean 8vs8 incs should roam Odin's Gate (or play Guild Wars).

And anyone roaming Hib should know what to expect: its everyone's playground, it cant work as an 8vs8 arena, it never worked, it will never work. And especially from a Hib point of view: its OUR frontier, and should be kept clean, with a zerg if needed, and thanks god there are guilds that will run more than one group when the situation calls for it.

This said, the whole thread is sad, we're allready small in numbers, pointing fingers at each other doesnt help much does it?

I wasnt there i dunno and dont care what happened but i respect players who lose incs and COME BACK TO FIGHT AGAIN. Its how you get better.
If it was RP farming report it, if it was people losing incs... well can you really blame them for losing against higher RR groups?
In any case the difference in RR between us and the Mids will only grow because even if we dont "feed" them, the Albs will.
They are designed to feed the mids

Red=Dead
On live I was happy if my regular grp had 8vs8, but we would never think of not joining a fight we saw. And neither should you. The other realms are the enemy, they need to be killed. Mercilessly. Period.

I dunno what the deal is. Why is it that Hib has such a hard time working together compared to other realms? I swear that we fight among-st ourselves WWWAAAYYYYY to much and that is why we don't succeed more.

As for adding, I don't see the issue. I agree that red is dead and that is how my guild plays every time that I am on. Red=Dead and that's the end of it. Right now, trying to do single 8v8 seems pointless when fighting either realm which both have relic advantage over us. Doesn't mean we don't win but a lot easier to lose against the other realms, primarily mid.

I wasn't there for this whole <booted> issue that apparently happened but we Hibs really need to quit fighting among-st ourselves and start teaming up more to keep our frontiers clean, hold our keeps and bring our relics home.

If ppl are seemingly intentionally feeding, then yes report but it's not something I've noticed. I just notice Hib groups trying to compete against other groups that have overwhelming advantages.

Feel like I need to chime in here.

<Booted> is by far the best Hib group running right now.

Considering that their running a setup that is weak at low RR in addition to all the other disadvantages Hib groups have when facing mids right now (The absurd damage due to relics/keeps and the fact that hib groups usually have to blow more RAs since they generally have more incs) they are doing just fine.

I was happy to see <Rewind> and their Firbolg trank train out the other night.

Closer to a good setup but the lack of bubble on the tanks (specifically static bubble for getting the slam advantage on inc) is going to make life difficult for them.

Still nobody is running the proper hib tank setup right now IMHO. If you didn't do your homework before you rolled here, these might help for fighting mid tankers on this patch level:

My hib group will be out there "donating rps" I.e. knocking 10 years of rust off pretty soon.

Can't wait and watching streams and videos is slowly killing me inside.

Not a troll, just wondering if there is anything other than the weak group setup that makes you feel that they are the best hib group running right now?

Honestly, there is a distinct lack of good (effetive) groups on hib.

Booted at least has a strategy that they manage to execute pretty well.

Their druids root healers consistently.

Their bards play aggressively.

They try to pull groups out and debuff nuke over-extended targets.

They do all those things well enough, and still all that needs to happen is for a savage to touch a lurikeen for 1 second and they have lost.

I've told people in posts before the server was released and I'm saying it again now, that kind of group setup/strategy is not good on this ruleset.

Hib Hybrid (with 3 casters not 2) becomes _OK_ on 1.65 once the group gets rr7+ and the casters can line up their MOCs to frag people.

Then you're looking at ~20% win against good mid tank groups.

20% win when you RA dump is not something I'd be looking forward to after 2mil RPs of taking it in the ass.

---------------------------------

On that topic, there are A LOT of mid groups out right now as I'm sure everyone knows.

Most of them are quite bad, but are carried by relics etc and the ease of running tanks at low RR.

There's no reason a competent hib group shouldn't be able to farm the crap out of them. We're cheering for you every time you fight some ****** mid group like Larfo.

I appreciate the response. I've been playing DAoC for a long time, although not as long as many here, and have never been that great at the rvr side of things. So this definitely helps me take a look at what I do when I play and attempt to make some corrections or at least try something different in my play style.

To be fair we are actually trying to get 3 casters in the group but we are only 6 set people atm so we build with whatever we can. Some of us played that setup on Genesis with great success, although we got carried by debuff numbers being off at low RR.

I appreciate all the nice comments about our guild, thank you for being great enemies/allies.
