I was playing and my computer entirely crashed, bad enough that it went to that old school dos looking script with a bunch of weird computer jargon. when it was done, the computer was able to boot up again, so I went to log in to uthgard again and i got this message:
The game client could not be started. The type initializer 'L,' threw an exeption. Access to the path is denied. I tried rebooting, and then i tried uninstalling everything and reinstalling the game, the uthgard launcher and everything. It still didnt work. Please help me to get logged back on. I really wanted to play DAOC on Valentines day, it is a nice distraction. |

Is there anyone out there that might be able to help me? I was able to bring up my account and bring up the game on my friends computer, so I know the account is fine, but I still get the same error when I try to bring it up on my computer. So it has got to be something on the software side, right? Any ideas? I tried reloading everything, but that didnt work.

When you say you reinstalled 'everything' does that include the,
" necessary dependencies for the Uthgard Launcher: Microsoft .NET Framework 4.6 Visual C++ Redistributable for Visual Studio 2015 for x86 (the 64-bit version will not work since DAoC is 32-bit"? Gil DaTroll - Merlin Zerker | MacDeath - Uth1 Armsman | Gil - Uth2 Zerker | Macdeath - Uth2 Armsman

yes, I uninstalled DAOC entirely, the uthgard launcher, Microsoft Framework 4.6 and Visual C++ Redistributable for Visual Studio 2015 for x86
Then reinstalled everything in order again. |

i am not familiar with that. how does that work? I am at work right now, so I can't get to my computer at home for another 7 hours, but when I get home, I would love to try something to make it work.

I am still unable to log in. I tried doing a checkdisk, let it run overnight, and that did not work. Does anyone know anything that I might try next. Everything else on my computer seems to work fine.
