Just don't like it. Too modern/new agey for a classic DAoC server.

Hey bud, the "e.g., Discord" in my original post signifies "for example". I too hate Discord and will likely be leveraging TeamSpeak.

That being said, seeking members whose dedication won't be swayed by which VOIP platform being used. So chances are we wouldn't have worked out anyhow. Happy hunting! :hammer:

Agreed. "Dedication" and "private server of a 16 year old MMO" typically shouldn't belong to the same concept IMHO. Then again that's why I made my post to begin with. I got a certain vibe about you from your tone. You take things way too seriously for your guild to be considered a "fun" experience. It is quite possible to both relax, and to enjoy a game. Part of why I avoid Mid on Uthgard is to avoid that type of attitude. I'm currently rerolling from Alb to Hib to look for a more melee friendly experience that isn't Midgard. Something about Uthgard and Mid attracts some rather annoying elitist mindset types and that is a real turnoff to me. They typically believe only their view can possibly be correct and frown on anyone who thinks differently. They also tend to make everyone under them in the guild ladder miserable.

This made you come off as a bit of a snob frankly. I literally make one comment that could be read any of several ways, and your first thought is to say something snarky. Certainly not someone I'd want as a guild leader. Gotta unclench the butt cheeks a bit my friend.

I would say legit based on your PM to me...

you certainly have some lofty opinions of yourself.

Oh and the my thoughts exactly was the roll 16 people because people are going to quit drop out etc along the way..not login... He got that entirely from me, and then posted it as his own decision...I can post those PM's as well... He thinks Fins pbaoe is the way to go, or leveling will be easy.

Personally, I naturally run away from situations like this as buyer beware.

Good Luck,

To those new people roll hib, roll hib with this guy, but you can't say you weren't warned you might not like what your getting into at some point down the road!

PM's listed below. Which I found rude and offensive and rude. You dont' know me and you haven't done anything. You want a bunch of minion is how it makes your process come off as...I hope people enjoy applying to become a minion... Maybe you can get your own meme too!

My thoughts exactly :D

Last question(s)- You're welcome to come to me and be open as you want, ask me blunt questions, etc. But can I count on you to be cool within the guild itself? Of course so long as all others are cool as well, I get that. But when there are problems, you can handle things maturely and come to me with any concerns? You can play nice in the sandbox? Maybe give a noob advice and make the guild look good in the Uthgard community?

Lemme know, Cheers :D

Personally, I naturally run away from situations in online games where 1 person tries to make themselves central to the process for things. 8man or rvr centric guilds were never that way. It was all built on friendships and mutual consensus.

Good Luck,

Seriously, Dan? You're going to use THAT private message to paint me as some crazed tyrant or something? :gaga:

What's got people triggered today?

I'm being very cautious who I invite to be a part of this. I'm pretty good at reading attitudes and getting to the root of why people want to participate, and I think you are a wonderful case study for this sir. I want team players, friendly folk, cooperative cats, etc. I'm not interested in people who post on the forums when triggered.

Share the whole damn conversations buddy, be my guest! Nothing to hide here! :D

b4 or after I tell you how to run your guild and then you do it and then I walk away? What is this more talk? I told people buyer beware, go for it, try it out. Maybe its what they are looking for... maybe its not. I said roll hib, roll hib with you not with you. Tyrant, no, but self centered and egotistical surely. Thank you for proving my ENTIRE point however in your response.

Ladies and gentleman, let this be an example of the very type of person a guild leader should prevent from joining a guild!

Have offers to fill the last two remaining spots (Bard and Hero) but feel free to still apply!

Cheers and best of luck to all, even you Danny-boy! :D

2/17 - Recruitment is officially CLOSED as SIXTEEN (16) new Hibernians join forces this evening! If you're still interested in joining or participating, I'm still happy to accept registrants. I'm going to be keeping our guild roster capped at 16 for now until we can have further discussions as a guild about our roster size. Thanks so much to all who applied and/or showed your support for us both here on the forums and in-game. We very much look forward to integrating into Hib life and seeing everyone out in the battlefield in the future!

Just interested:
How did the Project work / is it working?

Normaly these projects don't have a chance, because most people play 2-3 days a week and think all other have time the same days.
But you seemed to have a good organisation and some more people.
Uthgard:
Tale / Druid <rAiL>

Logres Albion: <Boten der Greifenreiter>
Tale / Cleric
Elvis / Minstrel

We are all level 30-35 with a couple nearing 40 - routinely capture and claim the BG keeps, have a full dungeon group most every night and play alts together went there isn't enough of our mains on. Discord is always poppin and it's been a lot of fun so far!

Edit:

We're looking for a few more interested players to join our core groups. We usually level in a Battlegroup as so not to be limited by a 8 man cut off.

If what you've read so far sounds like something you'd be interested in, feel free to send me a message here or anyone in <Stranger Danger> on Hib side.

Really looking for Bard, Warden, Eldritch, Hero but would be welcome to any class just wanting to hang out and at least level to 50 as we make the last push
