Hey guys,
So Im struggling to make some coin in game. I have a 50 hero and cant seem to find groups for any SH farming. Would I be better off making another character to farm with? If I do make another character, what should I make and any recommended spots? I know people say make a salvager, but thats a lot of money just to be able to do that, and Im honestly not sure how to get to that point. I am pretty noob to this game and just looking for help on what to do now that Im 50. Thanks! |

Diamond route + salvage and running Galla with a single group was how I made coin on live. But we rarely have DF, and SI isn't in yet, so..
![]() I'd make a caster to farm with (enchanter, animist) and also make them a tailor (low cost). If you're not interested in crafting, make friends with a 900+ salvager (Grandmaster/Legendary crafters). Stock up on drops. Could offer them a portion of what's made so you both get something out of it. You can get upwards of forty times the value items sell to merchants for by salvaging and trinketing them. Fei, bard

Most groups right now are focus pull grps, that really only need ench, mentalist and heal, nothing else. So an ench would be a good choice for money making solo and in grp. Animist has its merits too, but you will have difficulty in grp content, because their way off dmg dealing is problematic to say the least for focus pulling.
Tree - Animist Lvl 50 (RR 3L0, Legendary Tailor)
Aeomelia - Enchanter Lvl 50 Guild: SCHWERT & ROSE (provisional guild leader) [HIB] Crafting Mat Wholesale Diamond, Wyvernskin, Nightshade, Eldritch etc. huge quantities below vendor price - pm me! |

Make a partnership with a salvager, is my recommendation. I'm working on my craft skill and I'm always interested in making a fair deal with people to salvage for; I have a couple people I'll break stuff down for at an even 50/50 split. It's a smaller cut than doing it yourself, but given how much money and time it takes to build craft skill up, and how long it takes to trinket high tier materials, its usually win/win for everyone involved.
I use the same name ingame if you're interested in working with me, but you can probably find a guildmate willing to give you an even better cut I'd guess also |

Ok thanks for the replies everyone.
Ive spent the past few days now and I have a salvager. I have 900 in metalworking, but when I salvage arcanite stuff I only seem to be getting a few bars at a time. Do I need to get to 1000 to make sure I am getting the full value of bars from these drops? Also, any recommendations as far as spots go to where I could go farm? Maybe a spot with yellows that drop salvagable loot? Thanks again everyone! |

It's been my experience that 1050 yields maximum value off trinketing top tier metal. It's been awhile and I might be wrong, but higher level secondaries is almost always better when it comes to salvaging. |

I will salvage/trinket your stuff for free as long as:
- you play a tank - you're broke and wearing green stuff and cant peel off pbaoers ![]() - you will gear up, and then start crafting yourself like the OP did (800 is ok if its just to make some cash off salvage) - you dont have a strong guild (ask them if you do) - you're a nice guy - you dont waste too much of my time Tell me, PM me, whatever... |
