Latency and WTFast

Today you guys upped the max capacity and I'm running fine with no latency, but some are having problems. I attached a screen shot of my WTFast from today. Since I started using WTFast I have had zero problems no matter what the server cap is set at. Not sure why raising the cap would cause a problem that WTFast can fix. Hope this at least helps track down the problem you guys are having when the higher server population.
When the cap is down to 2,600 WTFast shows around a 9 percent improvement for me, with it at 3,100 I'm getting a 74 percent increase. I notice no difference in response from the server playing when the cap is at 2,600 vs 3,100. |

Can you post a screenshot of you custom game set up ?? (((The way you got Wtfast to see when you hit play button and keep recording once in game / optimizing )

Glad people have found a solution but I'm going to wait for them to fix the server instead of pay for a service to improve latency. Would be nice if a dev could respond that this is a known issue they are working on. I had no issues with latency until they upped the server cap to 4500. I play from west coast usa.

The main thing is WTFast is looking for the uth.dll to start.
I never set servers for WTFast to use, the cheap version works as good as the more expensive no reason to get the 10 dollar a month version. |

Vayze my problem when I lagged never was the server, but as the server had more people on it the problem would get worse. More people on the server makes for more internet traffic, when you have a place having problems on the internet the more traffic makes the problem worse. All WTFast does is reroute your connection through a none congested route on the internet. I have used the program for most ever game I play overseas. While in the ideal world there would be no congestion on the internet it happens and getting companies to change routing to improve someones ping is a really hard thing to make happen. |

Well now I can't connect to the server either. Most of the time it just times out while trying to connect to authentication. Make it in about 1 out of 8 times or so. Then I will ld once in for about 3 minutes. I downloaded the wtfast program but did not see a way to use it without giving payment info. So I uninstalled it. Although that's not going to help if I can't connect to server to begin with.

I am also having the same issues. Game has been running great until they increased the cap a couple nights ago. Now I have a constant 3-10 second lag time when casting spells or interacting with the environment. Which as a healer is terrible because my groupmate's healthbars are showing they are fine when really they are almost dead. Today I had issues logging on for 20 mins, the launcher kept crashing and saying I should check my firewall permissions which it has never done. Then sometimes it would let me in with a long loading screen before saying "You've been disconnected". Eventually I made it all the way on to my character just to go LD about every minute. Gave up and went to go do other things and came back tonight to try again. Got in to the game just fine but the 3-10 second latency still exists for me. Pretty much unplayable for me. Taking me a handful of minutes just to sell trash drops from 1 of my bags.

I live close to the Uthgard server so I don't need a VPN. I have 26 ms ping to server.uthgard, net and never go LD. But...
When I play games on servers far from home, like in North America or Asia, I use WTFast also. It will find a good path to the server for you, eliminating MANY hops and routing around 'black hole' like nodes. It appears that there is a node near Frankfurt Germany that has packet loss for many players coming thru there from the west. During US Prime time, there is too much traffic and many players will get LDs. During EU prime time we don't see this because we are approaching the server from the east, north, & south, not just the west. |
