SC pub zergs will continue as we saw today, i refused to start it but hours later someone took the torch and the bg went live, wich i joined and enjoyed. There are priv bgs going on in SC of course and is against the rules to ****** them up intentionally, anyway its clear we will have cullen zerg for a while wich i like.

Its not against any server rules.

I would argue on any other XP spot it's first come first serve, because thats just the way it has always been in DAoC, but not on zerg spots like SC or Fomor.

Private BG = bigger group. Do y leech/attack mobs of a regular grp as solo player?

wathever tree. like if siabra is not big enough for a private bg to go in there without the rules allowing individuals to leech from them. SC has always been like this, depending on the server, and ofc u cant leech away from pirvate bgs who are asking u not to.

No group, regardless of size, should be able to monopolize a spawn. There are no instances in this game. Every spawn must be shared. If this ain't the rule, then the rules are wrong. Period. . . . . .

its like old school ruleset, players respect each other and if someone has a spawn taken u wait on list or go to other spot. When this changed? im only 30 years old.

I agree with farmbooty on this one. But its an unwritten rule and agreement between players, no server rule. Staff has nothing to do with that and appealing/reporting someone for it just spams the appeal system. And I believe this unwritten rule does not apply to known zerg spots.

Its good manners to share if one camps a spot all day nonstop. Especially if there is a named mob that drops special item that somebody wants to his PvE or PvP build.

We all know, Zerg group only wants Experience, as that lvl50 group farms the gear and gold.

IF there is a named mob that drops an item that a seperate group wants to farm? who cares? , there is plenty of wights at the water direction, if the puller wants to compensate for the exp loss from one named.

( i actually have no clue if there is drops solely from named mobs ).

Also if a Zerg is public zerg open to all, there is no reason a random group can not join and farm what ever they want, that is what the level 50 group does.

BUT a closed group or tight larger group of people who play together... i would personally not leech from them without permission (exp). Its bad manners if you do.

IF there is a closed group or tight larger group of people who play together and they farm salvage for gold, and they have done that in a good spot, then i do not see any problem for a low level group to leech experience, just as long as permission is asked.

Always ask first. And remember that bad manners usually tends to bite back at a later date.

Why would you be a dick and join as a lvl 50 group? You wanne farm, go find a spot and leave the bg alone. I don't get this attitude.

Also people are trying to get some lvls. For most of us its the 100th character we made in DAoC. Somebody mentioned this is what Midgard did from the start. Yet Hibs aren't able to control themselfs. Well done.

Answer : they already do that, they get all the loot with minimal investment of effort. Only needs like 1-2 hits and the loot is secured, then just pull more. ( the group usually consist 45-50 lvl players ).

The salvage income/loot income from that is really good.

i see, u may be right on the zerg spots. i got my roots deep into eq, where everyone would follow this unwritten rule or be left aside by everyone in the servers, gms included. In eq raids whre as large as 120 people from some zerg guilds, every eq raid could be considered a zerg zone yet it was played as normal raids and guilds gettin there first would get the boss. We used scouts to know when a boss was up and kept the timers secret so others guilds wouldnt know.

unless you are 40+ or have 40+ people in your group you wont get much exp

you will get some but theres more to be had in your local dungeon

Maybe. The beauty of SC is you can log in there and log out there and instantly get XP. Its very convenient, espacially if you do not have much time. Depending on what class 40+ you are it might be better to bring a Lvl 50 Dmg. Although there are some tricks for every class I suppose. A NS told me the other day how he levelled from 38 to 48 there solo, I didnt even know his approach.
