As I continue to level up groups can sometime be hard to find and soloing as a 34 armswoman is slow to say the least. I know I'm gonna be farming for my level 50 armor soon and I'm curious if I should get to 50 with my armswoman and use her to farm or in my down time LFG start leveling a necro so I have a good farm toon to get money for my Armswoman at 50.

That is a class you probably want a necro first. I tried starting off with a pally and with no funds, is was rough. Now mindlessly leveling a necro to farm for it.

I started an Armsman as my first char.

I got to level 26 before caving and making a farming char. (Friar)

Armsman doesn't have too much trouble getting groups, but during periods of time when I can't, solo is almost not an option. Just far too much downtime with my crappy 1st char gear and it was starting to get relatively expensive for the amount of coin I was managing.

Now my Friar is 31, leveling mostly solo (all drops are belong to me), and making really good money for my level.

I plan to get to 50 on my Friar and farm a few plat before starting up my Armsman again. Then I will just keep him somewhat twinked out and leveling will be much smoother, especially during those periods of time when there's no spots available to me in the current groups.

Is a reaver a good farming class at 50?

If I wanted to do this in Mid, is Bonedancer far and away my best option? I freakin hate that class... sigh. Is there anything else that would even come close for solo farming speed & efficiency?

SM for fast solo.
Can farm decently later on, but not as good as the rest of "farming" chars.

WIth a summoning SM and a healer friend i used to farm Tuscan glacier's first room.
But its boooooring...
