Forum3rd party tool to bind mouse buttons

Hello dear staff, is a 3rd party tool like "X-Mouse Button Control" allowed to bind mouse buttons to keyboard keys, considering that one mouse button only mirrors one key press? Thanks and keep it up, having a blast on your server.

Its allowed to remap one key to a mouse button as long as its just replacing one physical action with another.
Its not allowed to script or automate key presses in any way. For example you press one button on the mouse and it executes an action which presses 2 keys one after each other. Thats bannable. We have already seen players with macros to twist spells. Please don't do that or you will get banned as soon as we notice it. It's done when it's done. Thanks for your patience.

Thanks Blue for the clear statement. Just for clarification: I want to use my mousewheel to equip, load and shoot my bow to pull (on my hero). That means to hit the same key (bow) three times in a row. When I bind this key to my mousewheel i just have to scroll three "clicks" to get this done(for each "click" on the mouse it only triggers one key press). Much easier and faster, still ok or questionable? Thanks again in advance.

If its faster by using hardware you have an unfair advantage. You do one physical action (moving your finger over the wheel) and execute 3 actions by it while a normal player has to press a key 3 times. You will be faster with it so yes that can be problematic as its like programmable keyboards which do several actions for one physical action. If we ban that if detected is another story. Mainly we ban scripted actions.

Thanks one more time for the response. So I wont use the mouse-wheel for that.

That is three physical actions. You roll the mouse 3 times to hit the button 3 times. It's no different than hitting 1, 1, 1. |
