DaoC classic is great. I really love Uthgard. I admire the staff for what they are doing. THANK YOU!!!
I just wonder what is happened, when you wait in the queue and per sudden the box disappears and you need to start the launcher again, with result you are last in line. Same as Anjin already reported/ Any idea why?

I don't get why ppl don't use the lfg tool. Sure some may forget it's on or what not but any time I am lfg, I use it. It's really not that big of a deal.

We are already modding the starter guilds - I would prefer not to have even more parenting to do. :) :hammer:

As mentioned by others, the LFG tool works - encourage people to use it, and it will get even better.

why? its already there! Its called lfg tool.
Its not devs fault if players don´t use it

i think we need a 5000 player cap on server can never login alway 1500+ in the queue

They tried a pop. increase yesterday and the server crashed twice. As most, I don't like the long queues. Glad there is interest, just not this much for one server.

I think the population is great. I am sure they will increase the cap when they can. I can not imagine the time and work that goes into running something like this and then on top of it trying to make it accept even more folks... patience is the key!

I hate to play the Devil's advocate, but to me that mean's increasing the server itself to avoid such problems. Folks can claim how happy they are about a server but let's face it, nobody wants to wait 2-3 hours on a game that can be a grind in the first place. I love the game but the GMs/developers should have expected such an outcome after 3 years of listening to a mass populace of eager gamers.

Yeah nobody would like to wait for hours but this is a game developed in year 2000. There were no multiple cores in processors and I'm sure the code is not perfect. Many things have changed since then but still we're trying to play the same game with new wave of computers and processors. I'm sure dev team is doing the best they can but it's not easy to change the core mechanics of a game and allow it to run for 10k users. We've waited for 2 years and now we have a working classic version of DAOC. In time things will get better, I believe it.

as long as there is a que, ppl will want to play
remove the que, numbers will go down
as for now, ppl tend to stay online even if they are afk for longer times
same with que, if 1000+ ppl want in, it must be real good, so i MUST be in too
take away the fear for long que and we will see the actual number of active players soon
when ppl can log off to go bio or dinner, and only active players are on the server

just my 2 cents

What really adds to the problem are the many people who are afk walking. People dont log off any more and thus the problem gets worse.

Had that hapen one time and it was because my router/internet connection dies for a minute or so. Im just guessing that happens when :server reboots or your connection to server is lost. If you have lds regularly in game / it happens at the same time check your connection uptime/reconnect before you go to bed
