Even after the recent reboot of the server I can not connect with my regular IP through the US, I have to VPN through Netherlands in order to connect.

I also have been unable to connect from the east coast of US. I have gotten 3 different error messages, from lost connection to unable to check for updates. I make it 1 out of 30 login attempts to the artwork screen where it loads 90-95% then crashes back to desktop. Please get this fixed.

My favorite part of DAOC is playing with my friends, if I can't connect and group / play with my friends they will all significantly out level me.

I know you guys are working hard over there on this server, and it is much appreciated however frustration levels are beginning to skyrocket since I can't seem to connect at any time now. Just venting here!

P.S. if anyone took Draak's name I would love that back for my sorc... I havent seen anyone on with this name but the game continuously tells me its unavailable!

I was just about the post all those messages as well, I get all 3 of those issues.

I played all morning on a VPN with no problems, hopefully its just temporary that I have to do that

Yes, I was basically just told by trish there is nothing they can do about it on their end.

Honestly, I think I'm taking a break from this. Its been nothing but a headache that I can no longer tolerate. Great game, and a great server when it works. However, my life is too busy ATM with too many small play windows to have issues connecting every time I want to play. I'm at a point no where the game is creating more stress than it is relieving so I am opting to take a break here and come back at a later date.

Yeah, it's pretty bad right now. I can't focus pull with the SM, so not much I can do without a respec to try something different on that character. Had my first l/d this morning after trying to get on multiple times. Shame really, was enjoying it a lot and was great to get in touch with people from 10 or so years ago. I'd really rather not have to VPN overseas in order to play from the US.

That sucks, this issue only started today. I've been playing since launch without any problems. I did start to feel the lag yesterday in the afternoon then the server reboot fixed it. I played all last night with my friends, only this morning did it become a big issue where I can't even get on the game. Even after the server reboot it didn't fix it. I hope they can find where the problem is coming from.

Edit: As I was typing this I was sitting with the patch error on my screen, out of nowhere my game opened and I connected with no lag. Im on with green latency

I'm glad you got in Ranb0w! I agree, however my issues were more unique to me outside of the error connecting last night and this morning. I am a restaurant worker, my choice I know, and my hours are all over the place. I am part of a mostly euro guild, again my choice but these are my friends, so my opportunities to play when they play are limited. This coupled with a staggered schedule and inconsistent login abilities and que's going over 1000 its just not the best option for me to relieve stress and have fun anymore. This is not the doing of the Uthgard dev's and none of it was a conspiracy directed at me. I just know my limits, and uthgard has me there atm!

As for the other question: I live on the east coast outside dc, on a us connection and no I do not VPN, nor am I interested in adding more work arounds. But thanks for the advice on VPNs from both you and users in the IRC.
