Asked a couple times in past, but really struggling to decide now that game is here. I'll be playing mostly last night USA (Cali) time so not during peak hours. It would be nice to group, but not that important. For the question of solo PvP, which class will do better in your opinion and why: BD or Sorc?

1. BD obviously has the insta LT and heal pets, but no speed and only root. Could potentially get away with just con buffs in PvP. Played one back in the day and loved it.
2. Sorc doesn't have the healing capabilities, but has amazing CC, speed, and could get MOC. Would need to do all buffs.

What are your thoughts? I'd imagine soling part time in DF or around leveling areas. OBV sometimes in Emain.

Well you listed all the pros and cons dude, roll both play them to 25 and then decide.

You will stick with Sorc, because playing this game without running Speed makes you freakin mad...

IMO BD is def the best choice for solo or small man groups.

If you want 8man, you'll want sorc though.

Sorc can down a good group if they get the surprise, whereas a BD can outlast a poorly put together group even without a surprise attack.

Think sorcs can really do that? Maybe at lower levels hehe. Sorc's got speed but can be interrupted unlike BD. Just wish BDs had speed.

I like dark BD but Sorc got speed, CC (aoe roots and mezzs on the same character!!!), drainlife (thats actually healing capabilities), fun pets and wins hands down if you know how to play.

BD is much easier to play, and less fun on the long run, once you get good with it you realize you're not doing half of the things you could do with a Sorc.
