Hi all,

I have played DAoC for quite a while, back on live years ago, and again on Uthgard before the reset. For this launch coming up, a friend, possibly two who have never played before will be joining me. Seeing as I am most familiar with Albion, I wanted to stick with this realm.

I was curious for this patch, what are some fun duo classes that can level without to much of an issue and also hold their own in the battlegrounds? I am not to concerned with endgame 8v8 ATM, and we wont be doing any dragon raids. just something that will have an enjoyable experience farming and PVP as we level.

If there are already threads with this information, please point me in the right direction. I was not able to get many results from the forum search, and it kept locking me out when I tried to make additional searches in any short amount of time.

Sorc:

+needed in any rvr (ae-mezz!)
- needs skill in rvr (be fast)

Theurg:
+welcome in grps thx2 root(mezz)/dmg-pets (icepets are awesome for expin)/dmg-add & haste (later bubble if skilled)
+very strong nuker: ice-pets or air-spec
+casterspeed
+/- not NEEDed in serious rvr, but can be fun / air-spec very strong in small-men
-its no sorc
-any spec has pro`s, but also cons: icepets nice exp, but useless elseway / airspec nice nukes but no icepets or bubble / earth just bubble and raid-pets...
- u die in rvr if positioning is bad (u run alot)

Minstrel:
- not easy to play well
+ fun to play if u can handle
+ healpet/pom-song
+ best speed
+ option to stealth in BGs/RVR
+ STUN
+ Demezz/ needed in all rvr-grps/ SOS
- there will be alot of minstrels in the beginnin

Reaver:
to keep it short...
+...utility (rupt, debuff, slam,de-stealth, lifedrain, dmg-add) / fun to exp/ fun in small-men like stealthhunters or DF or BGs
-...not FOTM rul0r pwnz0r enough for 8vsX in Pr-Grps / no det / u need atleast a little moving-skill for posi-styles
- no speed

Cab:
Caster-Version of Reaver -> no slots for need in serious RVR (or u do debuff-casterassistgrp), rupt/pet/nice to exp
+ RLY good farmer/ powerleveling / siegefighter
- no speed

Friar is nice to
good solo in everything, nice in grp, but not needed (so say support-reaver^^)
+self-enduchant
+basebuffs
+heal
+evade

...Pala, Arms, Merc, Infi/Scout, Clerc, Wizz shld be clear

best Alb rvr duo and decent pve
sorc + cleric (mezz/demezz, stun, root, heals, buffs, casterspeed, pet)

best rvr trios and good to very good (caba pet pull) pve
sorc + cleric + cabalist (same as above plus pet pull option in pve and debuffnuke + disease + ns in rvr)
or
sorc + cleric + minstrel (same as above plus sos and best speed, instant rupt, intstant stun, second mezz/demezz, pet support)

You need Speed 5 to roam, or get destroyed by fg.

Minst + sorcier is nice.
Or minst + cleric if minst Can manage Big pet.

Thanks for the suggestions. I think I will be running Cleric (I like to heal), and from the responses, it seems like Sorc would be a good second to run with. I little worried on leveling, but I figure we should be able to get a group going easy enough if need be.

didnt exspect cleric wld be an option. HEAVY WELCOME in Alb then
