Check in your Dark Age of Camelot\icons folder and see what your "cbt_500.bmp" combat icon file looks like... should be the new icons, if they are not the new style, you just need to replace them with the correct files.

Alternatively install bobsui, run options chooser, click on each of the item, spell, combat icons and choose Mythic(NEW) for each one. Then run DAoC and change the options and choose Custom skin.

that should load up the default UI but with the new mythic icons.

Yea i did that, (re-did to make sure) it loads up the bobsUI but not the icons. It keeps the same icons i have as default...

Here a screenshot. I have circled the icons that i want. I choose the Mythic(new) icons and ingame it still shows the Mythic(classic) icons.

Edit : The cbt_500.bmp combat icon file is indeed the old icons. How could i replace that file with new ones? Since it seems like that that's the main issue here.

Have you set yourself to use a custom UI in the setting of the character selection screen?

If so then I think you've probably missed some step in Bob's - it can sometimes be a little confusing because of how many different things there are in there.

Ok i solved it. I simply DL'd an entire 4GB client, found the icons folder and dropped it in the Uthgard DAoC client.

Thanks everyone for your help and contribution!

editing the UI is a feature of the client that Mythic enabled. Changing the cursor was never intended by Mythics original design so isnt allowed.

Thats about all there is to it.

If they start allowing people to make changes to game system files, whats to stop you from changing the textures of enemy characters to 100ft tall bright pink blobs or something?

we both know the cursor is about as close to a ui feature as you can get.

Telerik doesn't have many options for cursors, seems it's not as fundamental to UI as it may be assumed. Just saying.
