If you won't attack the only players in RvR when defending while outnumbered 2-1, then pull off the keep and only attack when you encounter them in open field you are shooting yourself in the foot.

Several Hibs from tonight are quitting until live and 1 said he won't come back even when live comes.

The fact is, you need enemies to fight and gain realm ranks. Mid players action tonight is driving away the only players who are currently willing to fight them. Just not when they have the numbers and the classes and still won't fight us unless it's in open field.

I spent weeks leveling up to 50, days farming cash and items for my template and after only a few hours in RvR you won't see me back out in the frontiers again to give you any more RPs. It just isn't worth the time I invested getting there. Are you really that stubborn or stupid that you can't see your actions are driving away the players you need to play this game??

Seriously - get a clue or enjoy PvE in the frontiers.

I know the Mids got a BG of about 2FG today and ran around and took a bunch of keeps. Is that what you are upset about? Because they chose to engage you in the open field areas instead of when you were inside of a keep? It's hard to really make out what you are upset about, but if that's all it is, then I have to say: If that's enough to make you quit, you weren't going to stick around much past launch anyway man.

Different Battlegroups are going to try different engagement strategies all the time. You cant expect the enemy to always be interested in attacking you while you turtle in a keep. Sometimes they may prefer waiting you out and fighting you in an open area, or sometimes they may be interested in a drawn out keep assault/defense. Just depends on folks mood that day.

I get it. Leveling to 50, farming plat and finishing a temp in DAoC is far more difficult than in many MMO's; but that still doesn't entitle you to RvR engagements that unfold exactly the way you desire man. You are over reacting.

The guy is retarded, that's for sure. But if you want someone to blame for all of this, it's uthgard staff. They're blindly sticking to this 1.65 bullshit for no reason. Most of them probably don't play the game, and the rest plays it very little and probably never played it for real and for an extended period of time, so they have like zero grasp of what should be custom and what not.

I guarantee you, if keeps gave RPS and the guys defending the keep are the only inc out there, people would attack the keep even though they would also give RPS to the enemy. Upgrading the keep to the highest level and upgrading all the doors was super fun on uthgard1. I remember requiem claiming Fensalir and upgrading it, mids would come out and try to take it, pretty soon you'd have Requiem and some other hibs inside, tons of mids trying to take it, some albs adding etc. Sometimes it would go on for the entire evening, everyone got some rps and tons of fun, eventually we'd take the keep but they'd get more rps overall so everyone got something.
