You can make a VW work in a tankish hib pushgrp if you have at least 2 other det5 offtanks.
Bard, 2 bm, hero, 2 druid, vw and last slot 2nd bard/ward/dps.
When i was playing vw in such tanksetups(did alot on uth1) its been always a mix between freelancing and assisting on a bms target, aswell as staying in the back against mid/alb tankgrps to clear overextended zerks/mercs or skalds/minstrels.
Casters that are under 60% health will drop by your 3rd sidestyle blizzardblade aka overkill :p
Something like 300-500 meleedmg (depending if you run 3.5 spd or 5.8 sctyhe)+ 250-300 proc should be possible.
So 500-800 possible dmg w/o crits.
800-1000 with lucky double crit

Ofc you have to manage the mezz-issue. Purgedump or quick demezz by bard/s ;p
Being rooted is no big prob most of times. You are able to assistnuking for 200-250 dmg or just rupt free supports or groupmates kite their enemys next to you so you can stun+ sidechain them

VW in a Tank Setup (I don't know how much it will be popular in Uthgard 2.0, seems like that everyone want to run a Caster Setup right now, but I don't know) is the best Hybrid you can get...

But there is one more problem, it's true that if you are good at playing the Class (And you have a Bard good to de-mezz you quickly if you don't have Purge (Or you want to save it for the Slam-9sStun)) you can make what most Class can't do, AKA make holes in HP-Bar of the Enemy, and be the Tankiest Class of the Realm (Yes, the VW is the most Tanky Class of Hibernia, in terms of Damage Reduction obviusly)...
The real problem is, who is going to trust you? If you have a good Group of people that will group you and believe in you, sure roll a VW, is an awesome chooice and it is a super fun Class...

But honestly, people tend to don't trust random or pug, so they will tend to simply invite the nearest BM/Hero instead of you... Because people tend to don't want to risk, and stick to the "Less effor, more reward" 8man comp.

I'm 100% sure, that a in a Tank Setup, having a VW will benefit 100% the Group than having one more BM (If the VW know what to do), this is for sure in my opinion... But who think that like me? Really, really few people... And even if they think that too, who is going to take the risk instead of a simple choice? Even less...

So my answer is, VW in a Tank-Setup is probably a must-have if is good at playing, but is really hard to get Grouped, because people don't trust other people and want more simple things that require less efforts.
