Hi guys,
I would like to know with the current Patch and state of Uthgard 2.0, in which shape are the Friar and the Reaver in a 8vs8 PvP Setup

You can make any class work. All you'll have to do is change your groups playstyle accordingly. They all have it pros and cons which were discussed in several other topics already.

But imo there are better class choices and combinations you should run instead if want to maximize your groups chances of winning

Is the reaver the only class in Albion with TWF RA?

No TWF for Reavers in 1.65, only warden has it.

Both classes have their issues mate and this is defo something that should be part of your choice for class.

On the Friar its probably mostly the damage, which is subpar to other options. They can backup heal of course and I've often seen this before in Alb groups. Remains to be seen how strong Friar-healing will be on Uth 2.0 (I honestly don't have a clue), but my guess is that optimally, you take another cleric in the group over a friar.

On the Reaver it is mostly the lack of the realm ability Determination that makes ppl pick mercs and arms over Reaver (ideally). Determination reduces mez/stun/root durations (up to 75%) and due to not having this nifty little tool, the Reaver will often be standing around looking at mezz-timers doing 0 dmg, while the merc is wacking away at enemy backline.
Reavers are offensive tanks (with good defensive capabilities) and the bottomline is that when the fight is over, the merc will most likely have dished out more damage than the reaver.

These are definately things that you should know about the classes before rolling, but that being said; hell, most the groups I'm in (being a slightly competitive, but overall casual DAoC player) are made up of all sorts of random sh*t in RvR. On Uth 1.0 one of my guildmates often joined our guildgroup on his infiltrator and we had two guys who mained a minstrel that we often brought together. Could it be better? Of course, but we had a lot of fun with it.

I would always get a friar (with resists) and a reaver in grp... but it's just me. I guess that most of the people would not

I would run a rej friar sure, but not a staff friar. See Paladin/Reaver/Thane/Champion remarks.
