Hibs, Animists and Shrooms

Can anybody who has played and is playing an animist comment how they are working? I find myself being a liability in dungeons due to shrooms pulling through walls, not to mention their seemingly insane resist rate (which is fine I am told they aren't there for damage but simply to "break" the hit code so spam lower ones and just get as many as possible).
I guess my main concern is they completely ignore the law of LOS. To shroom in a dungeon is a high risk/high reward type of thing at the moment and you kinda just gotta go YOLO and hope it works out. Also curious what strategies some animists have used or found help for either leveling or /50 RvR. Macros/Tips/Tricks? Besides more is better, heard that plenty. One max level tangler or multiple lower level ones for RvR or even PvE? I know giving random rvr targets root immunity can screw you, so that is a known. Thanks for reading and for constructive responses! Hib - Falken (BM) / Sneakster (NS) / Kalfen (Enchanter) - Currently Inactive

I'm also looking for more people that are playing this as i'm having a hard time confirming huge issues on the class. The 1.65 animist should be a nightmare for other realms but it is so buggy right now even our own realm don't want them in groups.
-Animist shroom 60%hp nerf of 1.70 seems to be active. -issue 1201 -Bombers lacking any base crit values (haven't tested wild power/minion yet.) -issue 1098 -Bombers damage variance is all over the place even if you are spec'd in the bombers line. -issue 1207 -Animist aggregate aggro from FnF turrets are going directly to animist instead of turrets themselves. (this combined with shroom health is making even soloing miserable when this should be the animist pve patch of dreams). Still somehow trying to find a way to prove the last one... Been looking for any animist pve videos at all just them farming by shrooming middle of camp and aggro goign directly to shrooms like it used to. Not this whole aggro goes strait to the animist so you cant even have them in a group. Any help would be much appreciated. |

All great points, thank you for chiming in on this. I heard the same thing about Animists at this patch level, but in game I just don't feel it. The aggro issue is also another point of contention for me as more of the aggro generated by the hearts goes to me, and not them which leaves me dying in groups or running in circles in PvE. I don't mind the circle running in PvE, but when I am shrooming in a dungeon and there is nowhere to kite and mobs 2-3 shot me while tank taunting doesn't even keep me alive then it is a major concern. Just to clarify, bomber = ? FnF = forget and fire aka forest hearts? Thanks again for chiming in, hopefully some more will stop by the forum and put in their 2 cents. Hard for me to know, because this is first time animist so I am just hearing from players who played at patch level that they were crazy good, and I am not feelin it. I used to farm with a Verd pet in dungeons. This wasn't this patch but lives. Buff the War Herald like a focus pet and stack everyone on the pet. Make sure the pet has very little line of sight. I then took my druid bot or a high level tank and body pulled high reds and purples. Put the pet on aggro. Pull mobs to pet and also stack bombers on pet. Make sure the animist is close to pet so the tank can taunt aggro from the animus if needed..but 90% of the time the pet got aggro. Animist was rr3. Make sure protect and guard is up where needed when u have a tank. This set-up needed crack big time, on live i used tinder and lots of RR power regin. The pets Pbaoe cannot be interrupted so you can also bounce aggro back and forth from the pet with the druid heals. Make sure if the druid gets aggro not to move from the pet. Eventually the pet wiil get aggro from the pbaoe or the aggro command. After proof reading I relise this pet might not be available on Uthgard....soo throw this ****** out the back door if it's not

As an animist today, I was actually informed that we are not good to have in groups. The animists are in a poor state and actually giving the class a bad name in their current state, as hibs if you give a ****** please help fix them be confirming issues on the tracker.
Animists are not of their 1.65 state, please help get them there. If you don't play one then think about the state of the realm, animists are the ones who will carry your dragon raids, whether you like it or not that is how hibs get it done. Found this tidbit in 1.71 notes, so maybe it got added to the current game?
(Bug Fix) The percent chance for monsters aggressing animist turrets and to have that aggression transferred to the animist's controlled pet has been slightly increased. Quite possibly we are getting more aggro from turrets than we should be, causing them to focus on us due to initial pull aggro + partial aggro from each turret shot.
