why not just go slash for the side hinder?

If your not going to be meleeing much does it matter that you have to go pierce?

Also, cant you just get +instrument skill for pets if you have 45 instr? or does the skill work over 50?

Yes the skill goes over 50 for charming and damage.

How would one even go about leveling to 48 with auto train?

No regular group would take you, and soloing will be hard. It sounds like the worst leveling experience imaginable.

You power level. Auto training is definitely here to stay so we'll see a lot of AT characters being power leveled, Ministrel probably one of the most power leveled of them all.

I'm new to this power leveling stuff.

Does it mean you need someone else willing to carry you?

Basically. Power leveling I believe is "fixed" as in non-functional in 2.0, but you used to be able to group with someone higher level than you and leech loads of xp while they farmed. I've heard for some reason that's not possible now.

Power leveling now will basically be a group with a gimped mistrel dpsing to AT in order to get 44 thrust in his final template.

Such is the woes of AT

While it doesn't work yet, the Dev's have said that powerleveling will be enabled. I expect heavy use of it in Albion.

Thank god for that. AT sucks, but it sucks a lot less when you can at least powerlevel.

So yes, most competitive minstrels will be powerleveled when uth 2.0 goes live. I'll happily let any ATing minstrel soak xp while I farm

I am loving Minstrel right now on Beta. I will probably roll a Minstrel on Live and not AT, and work to make friends/guild then have them help me remake a new Minstrel with AT. That's my plan at least for now.

I might instead make a Cabalist or Necro to offer trading PLVLs with another player who needs an AT char. Then create my Minstrel after.

Don't be too allergic brother. Maybe not for your first character, but once you can PLVL one.. It is one of albions great advantages when utilized. Look at this list of all the AT classes and how many belong to Albion. Once again, I do not suggest ATing for a first character, you need to have friends/guild/plvl etc. The game should be fun especially on your first/second character. :D

Silly question - when ATing a Minstrel - do you need to keep Instruments at 1 until 48 or can you put a few points in to get the charm and basic skills and still hit the 44 Thrust?
