I post here because have no idea how to answer to Blue response in Issue tracker.

Blue wrote:This is correct behavior. The range extends if the target is moving. Same applies to players.

are you sure that the range don't extend too much?
At start I thought that maybe I was wrong when I started thinking about this, but after hearing other ppl telling the same I decided to open this on the issue tracker. Any GM/dev/worlbuilder tried it in game?

tried now with a melee char (rogue), going naked ususlly you have to scape from fight to survive and I've seen is WAY WAY too long range, longer than it was in Uth v1 and I played matter cabby for years

I Agree with you completely -- also noticing it varies from mob to mob -- but I was doing a kill task yesterday and hit a "robber" mob at max casting range and he turned and HIT me from that max range interrupting my followup casts, and proceeded to hit me all the way until he reached me and then killed me -- so this IS an issue..

A mob melee hitting you from 1500 range? That sounds like a bug.

Mobs having a larger attack radius while moving is actually how it works on live too. I had tested that myself and was surprised.

Also, Melee Attack Range on some mobs is larger than you sometimes would expect. An excellent and easy example of this is Cuinn in Hib SI -- his normal range is something like 512 units (normally it is 128). When moving, the range is doubled.
