Hey,

To all inf, ns, sb, what poison tactics, do you use (main hand poison, offhand poison, third weapon poison, all other weapons in the bag).

Which poison u use in different situations, versus which type of class etc...

You use s/c debuff + dot in most cases and then swap a dot weapons in after each swing.

You'll want to use Disease vs. Skald/Minstrel/Bd/Warden

If Minstrel has a pet and might want to kite you, use snare too.

You might want to use Snare/Disease vs casters aswell so you can catch up again after their Qc cc.

Why swapping dot after each swing if the dot is not purged/resisted ?

Thx for tips

Because the first dmg tic always triggers on hit

you gain dmg by resetting the dot every 2/3 hits.

i personaly have debuff on offhand, dot on main hand and desease on 3rd weapon.

Ok so lifebane tick 4 times in 20 secs. You mean, if i reapply 3 more times during this 20 seconds the logs would count 7 tricks ??

It gets overwritten but the first dmg tic will resolve instantly on hit which basically means that instead of every 4 seconds your dot deals dmg according to your swingspeed which can be as low as 1,5s

all dots tics get smaller and smaller over time, that why you gain a little by reseting the dot before it ends.

I like starting with str/con debuff + disease offhand and then switching to mainhand dots.
So you'll most likely have disease up on every enemy. Ofc you can swap another disease mainhand if needed.

I think it is best to use debuff + disease as mentioned thalien, then applying dot.

Does dot tick or melee hit breaks poison snare ?
Does dot tick or melee hit breaks garrote snare ?

Garrote snare is short but 100% value, snare poison is very long but 40% value.

I guess it is situational but i would like to know the mechanics

Dot swapping with every hit is still a great dam add.

Besides special fights, I would go for:

Melee: Str/Con + Dot, Haste, Dot, Dot, Dot,...

Archers: Str/Con + Dot, Snare, Dot, Dot, Dot,...

Casters: Snare + Dot, Dot, Dot, Dot...

Disease - well if I attack more than 1 player and some healing class is near the attacked player. Otherwise? I think I will not use disease very often.

@Pogohr: Dot ticks don't get smaller. Bleeds are getting smaller. But if you don't have at least 50 Envenom, you damage will vary from ticl to tick.

@Autarch: Snare Poison cannot be broken by damage. You can only purge it. Concerning Garotte - I'm not sure. Weapondamage breaks Garotte snare, but dot poison? I cannot remember anymore.

I forgot the fact that every solo will use healpots so s/c debuff+disease will probably be the best opening for most 1v1s
