Sadly I was not lucky enough to play uthgard 1.0. I plan on getting pretty heavy in the 2.0 version. I was planning on playing a healing class, most likely druid, however in my time of play 9pm - 2am EST i dont see a whole lot of people on. My concern is if i play a healer and there is only one group running around my chance of getting a spot to prove myself is low. I know it just the beta but its enough to make me think to maximize my fun i should play a stealther so it gives me something to do instead of sit outside DL and wait for group. For those that played 1.0 how was NA EST timezone between 9pm - 2am? Any advice is appreciated. PS this game is <3!

I don't think you're going to have to worry about population at release. The server had over 1300 people in the Beta, I can only speculate that we'll hit over 3000 on release. Sure that will be the initial surge but (as another NA player) I can tell you that typically as long as there are 450+ people online the population generally feels fine. I think we'll see double that in NA times for months. Nezix - 50 Minstrel <The Band>

will be 5k at release probably more
population will be an issue for stability and spawns |
|
my guess is 12k at least |
|
Yeah. I'm thinking at least 10k during the peak hours, should be tons of action.

NA prime time rvr in last year of 1.0 was about -47 players average, maybe +16-18 players on weekends haha ![]() Brutally Familiar

For the first time in my Uthgard experience, my work hours will now allow me to play during EU primetime. Very excited to finally play with the elite daoc veterans from over seas, cause we all know no one breaks CC better, or has worse TS comms than an American PUG

5k is more realistic, which is why this beta is pointless, they are going to focus on small things then when server launches it will be totally bogged down by excessive players.
it has to be ninja released |

So your saying there will be decent action but its more or less the dead time for the server?

it is the "dead time of the server" in the sense that the population is lower than it would be during Euro evening time, however im certain there will be a healthy NA population as others have said. Uth 1.0 generally had 8 mans running 24/7 except towards the end. my guild will be running NA primetime for sure and it sounds like theres 5 or 6 others planning to do the same. it should be good for a while but the real test will be when the population settles down.

there probably arent even 5k people worldwide who know this game still exists... or ever existed. |
|
There will never be more than 1,5k-2k players at EU primetime playing simultaneously after the first days/weeks. Just don't roll a stealther as your first char, unless you enjoy soloing with green equip. NA player amounts will be 1/2 or 2/3 of EU peak

There's always action around. Even late nights PST we ran into 8mans. If you can't find anyone just take a few keeps and make everyone think relic raid.
Then you can camp the main keep nearby and farm the stream of defenders. |

first day of beta had 1900 and most people wont play beta
all of my friends who are going to play with me refuse to even install while its in beta server will be at 5k for release guaranteed |
