Is it better to spec the cleric on heals or on buffs?
Im not sure if buffs are thaat effective on the pet and moreover the necro got his own d/q buff already..

1. there are class forums for a reason. please use them
2. a buff/heal (so...enhance focused with minimal rejuv for mana efficient heals) is king when duoing with a necro. necropets benefit like crazy from strong buffs.

Your heals are still good when you go Enhance IMO.

I'd use the leveling spec in the Cleric subforum personally.

I'd go 49 or 50 ennhanc rest rej.

I don't know if on Uthg things will be different but on Genesis with servant necro and buff bot I was able to pull the whole gobs camp in Lyonesse w/o using a single heal (only heal proc). Trio with matter caba or ice wizzy and we were able to pull the whole ellys spot in pennine (30+ mobs lvl 50-60) w/o any problem.

And you have advantage that using the heal proc it's almost impossible for pet to loose aggro.

For leveling i'd go sight till 40 and servant from lvl 40 or maybe once 50 and geared using a respec stone.

That's my experience at least.

In Uth v1 I lvled my cler with only 15 in rej until 48, no problems to heal with this amount of rej and as said by others before, most of the job with focus pulling is done by the heal proc
It's the thrill of the chase
and I'm coming after you.

At lvl 10: 8 enhance / 5 reju
at lvl 20: 18 enhance / 8 reju
at lvl 30: 26 enhance / 14 reju

That's how I usually go until 30, then I decide if I want a healer/buffer or buffer/healer. Buffer/Healer would be 40/36 or 42/33/7. Healer the opposite roundabout for the 43 greater heal and 42 instant and so, but it's kinda no big difference and I personally prefer 42 enh / 33 reju / 7 smite (though 42 enhancd is useless if you never have casters in group, depends really).

Works fine in groups and as duo with any class.

That's about what I would say. Enhance within 1 or 2 of level, rest rej. Can max enhance with mini dings for 50 enhance at 50. Buffs = less need for heals and the lower rejuve spec means your spec heals will cost less mana and be overall more efficient. The heal procs from the enhance line really make a huge difference. It's not HoT, but close.

Now, at 50 if you don't want to be a buff/farm bot, there are 2 very popular cleric specs to play with (as my learned friend mentioned above) and both are good. Have fun!
