Launcher doesn't do anything for me

Hey,
I know there's a thread with a similar title but my problem is different. When I click connect, nothing happens. It doesn't throw an error, it doesn't do anything at all. I use Win 7 64-bit. I have both of the redistributables required for the launcher to run. I tried rebooting. I even tried redoing the token stuff. DAOC is installed, fully updated as the instructions say, and the launcher points to the camelot.exe file in the C:\Games\EA\Darkage of camelot\* subdirectory. Any suggestions would be much appreciated. edit: Okay, so it eventually gave me an unable to update error. It randomly appeared. It said something about TSS or TTL. I'm not sure. edit2: Does the launcher use torrenting to download the patches? (I'm currently residing at a University which blocks torrenting completely with some expensive hardware). update:
I checked to see if DAOC itself would run (by making a trial account) and it does. |

Well I found the problem, yay for being STEM.
The problem is probably that there is some kind of torrenting involved to download the patch. If you're connecting from a university that blocks this, you will have to use a VPN to connect to the patcher. I used betternetforwindows, it worked for me and it's awesome. |

Also,
I have to play with a VPN too, so i'm not sure if it's because of the patcher using torrenting or not. If there's a solution to playing without a VPN in the future, that would be great. |
