Hey,

I know there's a thread with a similar title but my problem is different.

When I click connect, nothing happens. It doesn't throw an error, it doesn't do anything at all.
I use Win 7 64-bit. I have both of the redistributables required for the launcher to run.
I tried rebooting. I even tried redoing the token stuff.
DAOC is installed, fully updated as the instructions say, and the launcher points to the camelot.exe file in the
C:\Games\EA\Darkage of camelot\* subdirectory.

Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

Okay, so it eventually gave me an unable to update error. It randomly appeared. It said something about TSS or TTL. I'm not sure.

Does the launcher use torrenting to download the patches? (I'm currently residing at a University which blocks torrenting completely with some expensive hardware).

I checked to see if DAOC itself would run (by making a trial account) and it does.

Well I found the problem, yay for being STEM.
The problem is probably that there is some kind of torrenting involved to download the patch.
If you're connecting from a university that blocks this, you will have to use a VPN to connect to the patcher.
I used betternetforwindows, it worked for me and it's awesome.

Also,

I have to play with a VPN too, so i'm not sure if it's because of the patcher using torrenting or not. If there's a solution to playing without a VPN in the future, that would be great.
