Maybe someone can explain it in a scenario. Is it like this? If i play Albion and want to play Midgard I flag my account for 7 days switch timer and then I can play upon to 8 hours left(6d16h) and then I can switch to Midgard.

A: Yes, the 7 day timer is meant as an incentive to stay in 1 realm. More so, the last 8 hours you will be unable to login to prevent information to be passed from one realm to another. Until the last 8 final hours of the countdown, you are allowed to play in your realm, and at any point can you cancel the process, however this puts the realm switching on a cool down. We know these timers sound long and harsh if you want to play with friends in different realms. But our goal is to create a server where players don't switch realm constantly and care about the realm they are in. People might try to get past these timers in various ways, but be assured, that we will do everything in our power to find these people and ban their accounts after the relaunch. For the beta this realm switch timer will be reduced to 1 hour to help testing. People coming together as a community can make great things happen.

This has no downtime if i understood right.

Sometimes players will change their mind on a realm, it would suck to be stuck within the first realm you picked if you made a mistake or found out your friends were actually going to a different realm.
