Albion's Beta Goals

Hey all! The main point of the beta is to find as many bugs and exploits as we can, and help the devs to make Uthgard as fair, fun, and challenging as 1.65 should be. The second goal for us Albs, is to learn about how game mechanics are implemented, and how we can best take advantage of them, so we can make the most of our race, class, craft, etc. choices we make at launch.
My main points of interest are going to be related to my defensive Armsman. Will a Saracen's extra Dexterity give me enough blocking power to save my teammates, or will the Highlander's Strength be more important, to provide the additional Weaponskill I need to consistently land snaring styles on our enemies? I've seen discussion about Dexterity's blocking effects being capped at higher values, and Strength giving diminishing returns past a certain point, but I don't feel confident we will know for sure until we can test, for ourselves, how the devs have implemented these features. That sort of testing will require a huge amount of swinging, and getting collaboration on it (hopefully even across realms) will be very helpful. I hope everyone thinks that this contributes to the beta's bug-testing, rather than taking away from it. The devs have shown (IMHO) that they want us to figure out the trickier mechanics for ourselves, and this assists the beta testing by helping them to ensure these mechanics are working the way they intended them to. My questions, to you guys, are... What are you interested in testing? How do you plan on testing it? And how can we work together to make Albion the most prepared (and bug free!) realm, at launch? ![]() |

I'm assuming many of the new (Old) RA's are going to need work. That's my biggest area of interest. The team seems committed to realistic 1.65, so it's in our best interest to be open about our findings, even for the OP stuff, like SOS and VP.
