I think 8v8 groups could find Wizard quite viable if you get two and both are fire spec. What about this class set-up? I guess it's odd to have two damage debuffers of different kinds but for a kiting alb group it might work. Lotta CC, pets and damage.

Sorc - 45 Body (for heat debuff and spec body nuke)
Cabalist - 46 Spirit (for body debuff and utility and giant pet)

No tank for peeling or guarding :( Also why wouldn't you just run 3x Body Sorcs then to add 2 more pets, a ton of utility, etc etc.

My thoughts exactly, at this point just run a cabalist body debuff assist train, much more efficient and a whole lot of utility. I liked the base idea of a heat debuff assist train on Alb tho :D nice try!

Yeah lack of tank hurts but trying to think outside the box. Body sorcs are better for an ideal Alb group but if no one is debuffing for their spec nukes then it's not so special. I think this set up is viable if we're trying to find a reason to add Wizards. I'm also thinking 4 spec bolts will be nice and nasty against Hib caster groups. Bolt was fixed by this patch level right?

if you really insist on a firewiz grp:

Cleric
Cleric
Bodysorc
Mindsorc
Pala/Arms
Wiz
Wiz
Wiz/Mincer/Theu

works the same way as every other standard debuff-grp..just with waaay less utility but more frontload with vp and boltspam.

So as an outsider reading this (someone who hasn't played at a high level since live) it sounds like:

Wizard = bad 8v8
Wizard = decent/good, zerg/keep
Wizard = Gimmick Group 8v8 if you stack 3x Wizard

Is that about the run of it?
