I really hope it's not 2 months and they won't give an answer other than "as long as it takes."

If it's done properly it should not be longer than 3 weeks (2 weeks for low-mid level testing, 1 week of i50 and real RvR testing)

Of course, that's a big "if"

Will name reclaiming work for Open Beta? Or just for live?

Allowing instant 50s in this situation wouldn't be a bad thing so long as you've already leveled to 50 the hard way once. It's just for testing and stress test anyway, this would be the most efficient way to get answers. If we are to test the server with no help to get to the end quickly, beta could go for months :?

No matter how long the beta will take. I think the real question is:

Will they shedule the go-live in summer?

I already told my boss I'm taking a week off work when this server drops. What's he going to do, fire me? More time to level.

2 months?

It's over when it's over.

(It all depends on how many bugs there are... How fast we find the bugs... And how fast the team can fix the bugs...
That's three unknowns so the only real answer is: No one knows)

#oldskooladdiction

Them were the days:

Damn, i remember leaving work earlier and earlier to make sure i got in my eq sebilis group before most guildies logged in.
Gimme a like if you ever set your alarm to get up in the early early morning to make sure you got in the MALMO PL groups back in the day!

Ah yes flashback! All day Witherwoods groups on Albion/Prydwen server 2002. You had to get up early to get a spot in group! And fire wizards got invites!

Seemed like an age to level back in those days it was really really slow.

I did :D

School holidays consisted of waking up at 5:45, getting into a group at 6:00, leveling until 22:00 and repeating the whole procedure for a week straight
