Testing classes on the Genesis server

It has been ages since I have played DAoC and thought it might help me with choosing a class if I tried a few out on the daoc Genesis server. One question is will the Genesis server play the same as Uthgard 2.0.

That's a really broad question.
Short answer, no. It's really custom over there (hybrids getting det3), non-classic starting towns, hastners and teleporters everywhere. Some specific class might be pretty much the same but it will be hit or miss on whether it will line up well with Uthgard.
