I think people are talking past each other here.

We all have different perspectives on the subjects that are being discussed right now.

From an 8v8 "Elitist" perspective a paladin has no place in an RvR group in 1.65, that's pretty much as close to a fact as you can get.

But to go as far as saying the class should never be played or is completly worthless is a bit of a stretch, it can be played by or with people who simply don't care about min maxing everything.

It's great in pugs, zergs and keep takes etc.

It's great in PvE too, because who wants to spend their gold for pots in PvE.

However from the "Elitist" perspective the flaws mentioned by the majority here does make it very unattractive in a min-maxing group.

Some might try to bring up the argument that a very skilled player or group can make a paladin work, and sure.. they might..
But even if they make that paladin work, the group could still have been stronger with that player on a better class.


I don't think we should really be pushing for custom changes before the server goes live, it won't happen and it just creates a lot of drama over nothing.

I do hope that some great groups will pick Albion though, and show everyone you can still kick ass while playing the underdog realm.

My guild on Genesis would like to roll Alb on Uthgard but we've seen firsthand how the endu situation will play out. Outphazed imo is spot on with most of what he's said will happen, 2m/1charge endu pots or running a no det Paladin is a sophie's choice no one will want to face.

Hib or mid?

It's not 2m/1m charge. It's 2 minute duration with 5 second recharge. I am not sure why this 2m duration/1m reuse is coming from, but it surely wasn't patch 1.65 knowledge.

That's what I meant. Each potion will have 1 charge that will last only 2 mins. So you'll have to carry a full inventory of invigoration potions that need replenishing almost everytime you wipe. That doesn't sound fun.

well it anyways only concerns the cookie cutter setup gang. Evrybody else will just take a Paladin on the Peels slot and live with it.

Fights last longer than 2 minutes unless its against a trash pug. Can you imagine having to stop combat to pop a pot because your end is going to zero?
You cant do that right now, shiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiit F6 stop hitting him, pop a pot, hes healed up.

Just give longer duration end pots, wont be any can of worms opened with that as all 3 realms get it and it isnt changing any classes.

...if thats so bad take an endu class then ... pally comes to mind for alb there
