ESO... lol... is that some kind of joke that game is like a retarded version of DAoC+GW2.... It's like going from drinking bourbon whiskey to pi$$.

well, i agree that DAOC > ESO, and this is a fact...
but the game is not bad at all.
i am still playing it and have really a lot to offer...
now, after 6 mounths of play, i start to understand deeper the game, expecially on pvp (pve is not hard at all, just a grind fest, similar to old 2001 daoc).
before judge the game u should be 50,vet 16 and, at least, 400 champion points...
gain basic pvp skills (purge, vigor, movement etc) and try some very challenging trials (maeltrom arena, for me, was 1 mounth intensive for complete with decent score).
i played around 1 year gw2 too (80 pvp level and decent wvw rank too) and eso is by far better, on every aspect, expecially for old daoc players.
remember:
before at least 350 champion points u are free rps on pvp... (or alliance points if u prefer :) .)

[ironie] Oh crud, you spoiled my devious ploy: i only donated over three years ago to brag about it in 02.2016. I even had a reminder in my calender for that occasion. You are a mastermind! [/ironie]

I pay for what i use. That is second nature to me and therefore nothing to brag about.
You can't know my motivation - same as i can only speculate about why you don't like the fact, i donated. Maybe you think that you deserve more from life and therefore pick at everyone who gives to others but not to you ... bohooo. But well ... i can't estimate your motivation.

If you read closely you would have found that i only wanted to argue with the "logic" behind the last two posts of oswaldo.
For me "this is a FREEshard" is not a valid argument for everything the staff does or does not. Paying for a service doesn't allow the user to put the customer service through the hoops. Same as playing for free doesn't justify to be treated like you don't matter at all.
Many people contributed to Uthgard aside from the staff: by excessively testing on Pendragon or filing detailed bug reports (defence penetration anyone?) or simply help building a community that everyone could enjoy.
All that is far more worth in my eyes than just throwing money at Blue.

Yep, some guy on this forum was complaining about ESO that it was to hard for him. People running around doing just to much damage for him to comprehend. I assume he was level 10 trying to pvp on the non vet alliance war with a bunch of guys who have mains with 200+ champion points.

My opinion is bias though. As I'm a big fan of the old school Oblivion games. But I'm also a diehard daoc fan, ESO has taken my 2 top mmo's and made one awesome dream come true. Its scary how similar it is to DAOC. Oh its free too...

Imperial Sewers = Darkness falls.
Cyrodiil = Emain
Scrolls = Relics
Champion points = Realm points

but noobs still = noobs. So there will be haters.

Wish we still had Uth 1.0 even with 100 ppl online, the wait for 2.0 is unreasonably long (cmon 2 years??).

I know that its a hobby project for the staff, but i bet a lot of people would be up to donate enough money, that we could have a decent developer increasing hes work a few times. Maybe set up a donation call?

Really waiting for Uthgard 2.0. Although thanks to 2 years downtime i have really worked myself up in RL, but I really really want to get back to nolife zone. Sucks that Daoc is such a good game, everything else i try just seems ******.

Even my girlfriend is starting to laugh about Uthgard topic, since i told her already about 2 years ago that this game is about to relaunch and im going to be offline for her about a month. Now everytime she sees me checking for the topic she tells me that this ****** is never going to relaunch.

I've got no issue with you donating, so I'm not sure how you made that assumption. Lols to your other assumptions as well. And you didn't "pay for a service", you donated money to someone working on a hobby project. No contracts were signed and no conditions for payment made. The fact that you set up unrealistic expectations for what you feel that entitles you to, then get mad when those expectations aren't met, is baffling to me. I've also donated, but have zero expectations because I understand the nature of the organization I'm contributing to. I donate because I don't have the time to test, but I do have the money to give.

Blue and co. haven't abandoned Uthgard, but so many whiny posts make it sound like they have. They still give us updates ffs! Just keep on checking the forums, continue to express interest and support, and go play other games in the meantime.

And props to all the testers. I agree with you that they are the real mvps of the Uthgard playerbase.

Please open the server, just because every time I miss daoc i can only reinstall genesis and after a few days I always find myself in a dark room crying and saying "why why why did I do that?!?"
That server is excruciating.......................
