So is this a paid advertisement that will be repeated every 7 days?

I've been trying to find other games to get me that fix. I will try Camelot Unchained and I also plan on trying Albion Online when it comes out of beta. Both look interesting on the pvp front to me. This website really needs a Sanya aka community manager. I'm sure one of the fine upstanding community trolls we have here would be willing to do the job. However, you might need to give them some super secret sauce information that doesn't really exist. :wall: :wall: :wall:

I still think we're a minimum of 6 months away from reopening.

additionally I am enjoying retro games recently. Nestalgia is like the original dragon warrior and I also play RPG MO which is like a tibia/runescape hybrid. Both of these games are on steam but you have to really enjoy some retro/oldschool games to appreciate them.

I have a dream...

That one day I will come here and see a blue post saying that revamp has been completed and the server is open for beta!

My other dream is winning a lottery and for some reason it looks like a better bet at this point.

Well when I said it'd be nice to get some news, I didn't mean to make a joke of it. Maybe this is what Uthgard really has to show after more then 2 years under development. Many questions and almost little to no answers. How long until we really start getting some good news, months, a few more years?

Some people really love Uthgard to the point they spent hours everyday keeping your vision alive, including myself. Uthgard was made by the staff but it became what it was because of the community. Please give us something more substantial, does the community not deserve it?

Its not a joke. There isn't a good way to explain what's being worked on right now.

You should just try us on that one. I am sure most people here will understand if you can say that team is working on implementing A and B after which it will be tested. There is still things like C, D, E, F etc need to be adjusted / re-written and tested before we can go ahead with the beta. It is not hard, believe me.. We don't even need an eta. What seems to be hard is finding someone on the team who is willing to share the development progress with the community that supported this server over the years and provide proper update.

This is to follow up on my previous post...

Any project (including this revamp) has a list of things that need to be completed before the project considered completed or before it can move to the next stage (beta). This revamp is no different. I am sure there is a list of things devs are working on trying to fix / implement. What we all looking for here is not so much an ETA, but a list of what is done or at least the list of things left to do. Weather its a full time job or simply a hobby project, this basic principle of checking off items on the list remains the same. So, when I hear things like "there is no good way to explain" I just kind of roll my eyes...

This answer can only mean things like:
a) Project is dead, no one doing much and we don't know if its ever going to be completed. :bored:
b) We are so far away from next stage (beta) that we still have a million things to do and more things add up every day. oO
c) We don't care about sharing anything with the community and everyone asking questions should just ****** off.

When someone replied to my post about "it's a developer project" and not about the players, I thought he was kidding. Now I think that actually makes more sense than anything. Yes stuff is getting done, at their own pace, but it's about having fun with coding than it is about opening the server.

I am not even sure what is the point of this forum and this website if that's the case.

Here is the problem abydos, if that's all that your able to give us after who knows how many months without any real information I should have the right to be skeptical about the server. The grab bag is nice but it doesn't really give us a clear idea of how the server itself is doing. What ever happen to all the other projects, are we going to get updates whether they are done or not?

The idea to introduce SI at a later time of the servers relaunch was good because it gave people the hope that hopefully the server would release within a short period. The server itself was great before it was brought down, sure there where some problems but it was still thousands of times better then Genesis and that dying horse is still running.

So this leads me to think that the server itself is not being managed. Possibly there are no deadlines and projects are probably being left undone. If the server truly is being worked on then something awful must have happen and certain key people must have left the project. The silence and lack of information except "we are working on it" is starting to show that maybe we still have years until we could ever see uthgard again. The worst case is that you are trying to give false hope to the community to a dying project. Silence will only verify that this is true because honestly there is no way to steal Uthgard by giving real evidence on whats being done, unless of course there is nothing to say.

I'm not asking for Codes or anything that could reveal how you are doing things but please, GIVE US SOME HOPE, SHOW US CONCRETE EVIDENCE, AND PROVE ME WRONG!

Ofc you are wrong. If server would not come back, do you think they would still be here, posting to answers to idiots like you ? 1 year and half that the server is off, and they are still here. And even if you have to wait " years " for uthgard to come back, then you will wait. You are still here, 1 year and half after the shutdown, whining, whining, and whining, and i can bet you will still be here for cry even more in one or more years if the server is still off. And if they wanted give false hope, like you are calling it, they would do more news, for explain better. But they dont try, they just said that they are working slowly since blue doesnt have big time for work on uthgard, but they are still working on it.

If you cant wait, there is " Genesis " or you can even play others game. No one force you to wait if yuo dont have the patience, Uthgard staff own you nothing
2012:<@[Uth]Abydos> If we don't have SI by the end of the year, Im fairly certain I wont be a GM anymore :-p
