The group that runs up against them can't kill them fast enough because smite clerics have sooooooo many tools at their disposal combined with decent ranged damage with 8 of them dudes doing it!

Been following this for a long time now, and it's funny to see attitudes change over time.

I think it's getting to the stage where people consider this a joke now. I think people are really losing faith that uthgard will ever be back. Fingers crossed for the new servers...

Well let's just do the math:
If it takes weeks to announce that an already delayed grag bag will be further delayed, what does this say about the possible progress of the much more complicated an demanding work of coding?

I played on Uthgard for several years as a non-pro-player and I am really grateful that the staff's work and passion allowed me to have many fun hours. But the status quo seems to be caught in a downward spiral where players' frustration is growing in the same rate as staff's motivation seems to be dwindling. Maybe it might be a good idea to officially announce a summer break or something in order to stop the vicious circle of unfulfilled expectations and frustrated backlash.

I think i am already at the point where I come here to only check on the news and revamp progress. I actually dont even care if the server comes back online tomorrow because so much have changed in my life during this epic downtime that I dont even have much time to play anymore. I just come here out of bad habit mostly.

During the last 18 month I managed to get married, switched career path, bought a new house, went through 2 cars and that only the major stuff. I appologize if I am being blunt, but it feels like this whole project totally lost steam after the server went down and there is no real motivation to get it up and running again. I wish someone could tell me that I am wrong, and that hidden dev forum section is active and happening place where decisions are made, progress is posted and important topics being discussed, but it really doesnt feel that way at all.

Where have you been? I missed your posts, because it saved me alot of time, cuz you often get my points so I don ´t needed to write on my own.
I think it ´s obvious that Uthgard and it ´s staff fell into a big summer hole..before that it was spring tiredness, wintersleep and autum depression... did I forgot something to mention?
Ok to be fair, I can understand that summer is the worst time to hang around and do some coding, so let ´s hope for a grateful autumn-winter episode where the server is coming back. Hope dies last...(or first).

When this server comes back online it is going to be like one of those really unhealthy addictions that you can't just walk away from. So maybe it's better it's delayed a little while longer :) That way when I get my first Uthgard DAoC fix it will be the purest, uncut nostalgia on the market and I can take time off work and mainline it all day and night until my PTO runs out... then I'll probably get fired from my job for not showing up and fall into a circle of cheap prostitution to pay for my internet and DAoC habit. Uthgard is going to be great!

I use this forum just like I used to play my stealther classes. I'm always there, lurking in the background, watching everyone fight, but only dare to join in when I'm really really drunk

But seriously, thank you for your kind words, mate :)

stop complaining, even if the server was ready, no freaking point in opening it in the middle of the summer where most people wont have time to play anyhow.
