Far fetched.

What?! Lol!!! You DON'T NEED that bonus, in fact you'll have perfectly fine, safe exp in the realm. I know I will and I did (I **NEVER** got into frontier zone to level up, lol)

You're just overexaggerating things, as usual.

...to stay with your measles example:
you will only get measles if you go to that one particular spot in your city, you'll get it nowhere else, so just go there if you enjoy measles

But seriously guys, the amount of rps you get for greys is so miniscule and trivial it might as well be none. For the rps you receive from one level 50 you'd have to kill 100+ greys. (And I know people are gonna be like "hey but you killed hundreds..." yes but, realistically, a hundred takes several days because you can only kill as many as you can find.) The "reward" they give is not nearly as big a deal as all the perma-rr4s have convinced themselves it is. When you're looking at needing millions of rps, 5-15 a kill just doesn't go very far. I think people who never got past rr4 don't have a concept of just how much rvr several million rps takes.

I still would prefer they give no rps just cause it clutters up the /title and also for the principle of it. People should gank grays because that's what's in their heart... not for the 5 rps.

Also, no benefit at all for rps for greys but a downside. Just like there is no benefit at all-- and in fact lots of downsides which I could sit down and write them all out-- for no rps while dead.

Basically its like saying we found a cure for measles but we like measles so lets all have measles. No upside, painfully stupid downside, and hey-- lets all have measles.

...and in regards to vets... I was explicitly not talking about vets, but extremely competetive players (lets call them elitists), who want to make sure every little thing is stacked in their favour so they can get to RR11 as fast as possible...if its is not (see rp's for greys), they cry and whine

cheers

Good old Uppland gank times... Last time I've been there was on official servers back in... 2002?

I honestly don't give a ****** if greys give RPs or not, that's certainly not an incentive to farm them myself. I don't usually kill them, but if I want to, hell, I'll do it, either I'm taking RPs or not. In that case I might be pulling lv50s to come and hunt me down (that's how it usually works). It's RvR and it's in an RvR area, you can't help it, that's how it works, you put yourself in a dangerous situation to gain more xp. High risks = high rewards, but don't complain if not everything goes as planned.

Grey ganking is bad when it causes people to gank more and some log because of it. No rps for greys actually nerfs rp gain as well as restricting how people play.

At the end of the night it is very possible to get quite a few more rps with rps while dead than you would with no rps while dead. It is actually a nerf.

No upside, just a nerf. Lets say you would have got even 5k rps and instead got 2k. Sure 3k is no big deal but it adds up over time.

Then you get the win at any cost only the right class and spec no point in pugging thing going on. It hurts solo play. It hurts support and casters who could get some rps even if they died as long as they inflict damage and the person that killed them died.

I used to love soloing an animist and, as often as not, would kill an assassin after they killed me. That is all gone with the no rps while dead.

Players can greatly contribute to a server if you let them.

Uthgard, still the best server. Thanks, Devs.

Only problem with grey is if there are missions and titles you can farm them by going for greys. Since Uth staff wants to be 1.65, I suspect there will be neither. Apart from that, there are enough ways to level in the safety of your realm and the whole topic is an iteration of "someone died in a RvR zone".

i start thinking making greykills worth 0 RPs is a good idea.

there will be so much more ragepleasure if they get killed for literally nothing than if they think one did it because of the symbolic reward of mighty 5 RPs.

If you really think giving no rps for grays will deter people from ganking them, you're living in a fantasy world.

I've always been of the opinion that classes that can kill people while they're afk maybe don't deserve rps. But that's just me.
