On old uthgard it was that way-- if someone got combat speed debuffed they would hit harder which was incorrect. The only stat that affects weapon speed AND damage is quickness. Haste is supposed to be different.

I believe haste lowers damage but still increases overall dps, it's celerity that doesn't effect base damage. With Celerity your damage doesn't change only attack speed which is caped at 1.5.

Make tests on live to prove this and we can make sure our implementation is accurate to those tests.

Unfortunately I am unsure of how we handle this on Uthgard at the moment because so many changes have been made. However if someone has concrete evidence of a certain behavior I will make sure to check up on it.

Baman is correct. Haste only affects swingspeed. It's not a stat.

I wish I had... my RR8 or whatever healer and especially my RR5 hunter were such a waste of time... I could have reached... well RR12L2 was close anyway... maybe 12L3? that would have been awesome :!:

Show me tests that prove this and I will make sure that is how haste/haste debuff will work. As winkz said, the tests are easy to setup.

Haste only affects swingspeed on unstyled damage but when considering styledamage the formula is based on eSPD.
Should be implemented that way?!

Hi,

Is the second time that the poor Trishin is asking for evidence, I think everyone appreciate your opinion but they need evidences :D i.e. links / documents / fake html page built on purpose of having what you want hoping the Uth staff won't notice

If I'm Correct Haste does not effect base damage, only style damage. So a player doing 150damage auto attack will still do 150damage with a 20% haste. The style damage is whats calculated after haste effect so you end up doing less damage but it's actually overall more dps. I had a long talk with veritas about this because Genesis had this problem. I can't tell if Uthgard does because there is no way of testing now.

All those tears because of char wipe ... I could cry too, sure. I'm losing an LGM Armorer, LGM Tailor, LG Weaponsmith, LG Spellcrafter, LGM Alchemist, LG Fletcher ... and I don't want to know HOW many people I supported on Albion side, especially with SC, Weapons, Armor and Alchemy, at rather fair prices, so that they were able to kick Hibs and Mids in the fields, no matter if battlegrounds or lvl 50 RVR.

I loved doing that. Made a fortune too, of course.

Did a quick test..

styled
no haste = 765 dmg
haste 17 % = 720 dmg
haste debuff 30 % = 845 dmg

unstyled
no haste = 462 dmg
haste 17 % = 462 dmg
haste debuff 30 % = 462 dmg

So haste buff and debuff only effect styled dmg... and yes a haste debuff makes you hit harder!

ps

i was right, again ;)

Edit:

unstyled
celerity 37 % = 462 dmg
styled
celerity 37 % = 666 dmg

Did celerity test.. so with celerity up and no styling its the same dmg as unstyled without celerity and if you style, yea you do some nice dmg ;)
