Nice to have spring news, I hope the only next news won ´t be just summer, autumn, winter news then... :-D.

I ´m a bit upset that SI won ´t come at release, I liked the exploration there right from the scratch, so when it will be relaunched not many ppl will level in the starter zones there and the add on will probably just being used for the quests and Dungeon raids then. And we have to build new templates for the bling bling weapons when SI is out. :D
But it ´s ok for me, I know the majority of this community doesn ´t care so much about this add on anyway.

I ´m not so happy about the barrel/bottle/potion solution , if I got it right you can only bind the last slot in inventory as a hotkey for your bars? That ´s ok for ppl who only use mainly one kind of potion, but if you have several different kind of potions, you ´re still stressed. And I will really missing barrels and botles for economy and flair, but it can ´t be helped, right? :( What about if there were some donations for barrel implementation?

@ Staff (Trishin)
Trishin told us a few days ago about some coming information about if shars, half ogres and frostalfs may be available as class to pick in the new news. It ´s ok if there ´s no decision yet or so, I just want to remind it.

Please continue the good work, you ´re really doing a great job, big thanks for that ,and I appreciate very much that you guys are active in the forums again to let the ppl have a look over your shoulder and answer some of their question. I can ´t wait to play again.

@ The guys who complain about everything just for the reason of complaining...
You see some work is done and much more to do, you don ´t have to wait or waste your time to read/post here if you haven ´t the patience for it. Everybody here is waiting for Uthgard to return, of course the staff would be glad if they coud present the server finished now too, but good things need their time, that ´s just the way it is, flaming and raging doesn ´t make the work done faster.

LLU 2.0
best regards

I bet Shrouded Isled will be released much later. Ppl use to bring their toons up in the first months, after a while only few ppl still leveling and it ´s hard to find any level groups. Solo leveling won ´t be an option, when the experience gain is 1.65 setting as well, so Shrouded Isles will gonna be a dead zone in some parts again like it was on live servers if the Staff doesn ´t make some custom changes like EXP Bonus and biger, faster respawn spots... oh wait, that would be custom.

[3:10pm] <myrmidon^> You have to be a c*** to be awesome at daoc

The group that runs up against them can't kill them fast enough because smite clerics have sooooooo many tools at their disposal combined with decent ranged damage with 8 of them dudes doing it!

You make it sound like pots are 9x better buff wise, but you still have same cooldowns, values, and durations. Now if you mean a 9x improvement to inventory space then sure I agree. If you say you would RvR 9x more then sure.

If you think it will break certain classes from getting groups like Paladin, then you obviously haven't thought this through because Old Ra's break paladin.... Tireless itself + no det on paladin= useless anyways. You still need shaman for spec buffs, rupt, and they could still do endo. Bard's will always be needed because of CC and speed so their role is not replaceable.

The point is there is no point why not to have 3/6/9 bottles in Uthgard other then it's not classic. Whether or not it improves the experience or not doesn't matter to the staff. From watching Genesis what do we see, even with bottles you still need to restock pots everyday. It would be one other reason for players who like bottles on Genesis to join Uthgard. Potions play a huge part in DAoC and you'd be surprised how people will stay on Genesis just for that....

If you think Pots or Charges could ever replace a Cleric/Shaman/Druid from getting a group then you don't RvR and I say this because I have been told by a GM before that this is the reason. Honestly If someone wants to Solo, They will solo, and If someone runs in an 8man without those said classes then their chances of success are ZERO!

I think that common sense would allow bottles with 3/9 charges, but i guess that this is something more related with the "livelike" obsession ^^
There was a time when Uthgard 1.0 existed and maaaany toons and arrpees arose... but now:

Will take you more than a month to have a lvl 50 spellcrafted char, trust me ^_^

So, you think Shrouded Isles will be done in a month or so after relaunch? I don ´t know about the shape of it, but if it would be in a good one, Staff would release it just together combined with old zones for less inconvenience, right? :) I would suppose Shrouded Isles will take half a year + ,without knowing about the current state, it ´s a big project.

Getting level 50 depends on several terms (picked class, time you play, etc.) but in fact it won ´t be so bad at all at the beginning I guess, getting templated will take some more time if you don ´t have a good guild with some guild crafters etc. I don ´t care, I ´m not focused to have the first level 50 Char being templated, I don´t have so much time to play anyway :-).

So many MMOs and games since DAoC and still nothing like it.

I'm impatiently waiting to 8v8 again.

So will all the barrels/bottles and consumables be gone? That would make the server perfect.

I believe it was a good move to release the server before SI considering it might take an extra 6 months(or more) at this rate. Was it the Mass uproar which caused this to happen? Nonetheless I agree with the decision.

Now the next problem is How items will be distributed for each realm as some realms can make easier template then others. Without SI items however some realms will not be able to make full cap templates for certain classes.

I hope they allow anyone and everyone to join the stress test to see if the server can handle 1000+ players. Don't be all picky, just allow people to make accounts the old way and then delete them all after.

I'd like an update on Exp and PL to see how things have gone since the downtime.

OMG and one of the most important things, How do you plan to manage cross realm? My opinion it should just be a IP lock for 30min-1h just for relic purposes.
