people are doing that because there's no news from you GMs / devs whatsoever. you post some meaningless "we're working on it yada yada" every 3 months and then complain that people are trying to hold onto every straw they can? seriously? how about some actual news, some progress updates, something that means anything? how hard can it be to re-launch a server that was working already very well with old RAs and SI? |

Hasn't anyone realised? QQing is not going to get the server open faster.
Let the GMs do their thing, which I am sure will be for the best. |

I think evryone realised by now that it doesnt matter weather we are QQing, complaining or waiting patiently. We tried it all and it has zero effect on the server re-lauch date. It has been over three month with very limited info or no official info coming out at all even tho last official news release promised more frequent updates. People just frustrated at this point and dont really care what forum behavior will bring the server back quicker. It shoudnt be difficult to write a few paragraphs every month summarizing the development progress. Sarge - Healer

Please devs don't respond to anything on here unless its with news. Don't bother dispelling our rumors cuz Its just going to make things worse...
A large number of us are upset things are taking so long with very little progress updates. Every time you post something we will most likely respond with anger due to impatience that will likely ruffle your feathers and make you hate the community which will only lessen your enthusiasm for your hobby and that leads to more waiting and complaining. It's really a vicious cycle. Asking us to not be mad is not going to work because many are very passionate about Uthgards return and we cant just bottle that up you gotta let it out sometimes. So please ignore this thread until you are ready to start a new one with some news in it. |

Well, even for the biggest optimist it's pretty hard to read something encouraging into this. Let's face it: There are no news because there is no progress made that'd be worth reporting. There is nothing to be read between the lines, and just reading the 1st letter of every word in Trishin's posts doesn't reveal a hidden message (I'm not yet sure about that 10 10 50 number combination in the IRC comment though  ). Uthgard, you had your time, you had the power, you've yet to have your finest hour.Behold Albion's second biggest pride (right after Squire Galune):

Well, I think this whole discussion goes too much into...player XYZ question: "when is teh server back" Staff: "we are still working on it..." So it is a useless conversation, because it can ´t be known when the server is back when the gamecode itself is rewritten at the moment... But... there are some questions about what Uthgard would look like that could be answered... - Will there be bottles/barrels? - Will there be realmpoint gain while dead? - Will there be battlegates till lvl. 49? - Will there be tradable poisened weapons? - Will there be Shars, halfogres, frostalf? and so on... I even enjoyed to watch Surtals screenshots and realized a new(old) druid tree-pet (that wasnt mentioned in news for example but proved there is something done...) The information about the server setup would be decent news for the community, I know some of these points are probably still be discussed, but a made decission between the boring coding here and there would be a nice variety in this progress too, I guess. Also I believe some of these points are already decided yet. It ´s up to you staff if you want these informations be shared with your commnuity, but I doubt there isn ´t any other progress then changing the gamecode at all. You said you are working on other points too, Shrouded isles , old ras, necromancer etc. hard to believe nothing is finished yet. |

Im one of the Silent majority that reads this forum daily, what you would call "random people", but i love Daoc from the bottom of my heart, and im an old player of the official Daoc on his glory days, so Trishin, if you ever read this: dont rush things, i dont care to wait months, even years, but this is a dream we share with you, a dream we want to make a reality, the old Daoc feeling? you cant find that ANYWHERE anymore, only on Uthgard, and that is INVALUABLE
