I'm growing tired of your input kildich. The man is making a proposition, and some of us are wondering if the current Uthgard team has grown weary of running this server by now. I for one would like a back-up or an insurance of (continuous) continuation of this wonderful game.
Now.. Open the server. Would be wonderful to spend the coming holidays on it.

And I am already very tired of your "open the server" bs that you and people like you keep spouting every freaking day. Give it a rest, if you don't like what they are doing then LEAVE. No one is forcing you to stay here and ******.

Honestly, Kildich, you're the one building bad blood here. You rly should just go away, shut up and say absolutely nothing anymore. Devs have stated nowhere your defence is needed and they'd need your under developed vocabulary filled nothing but profanities for insulting other ppl. So here's a proposition for you, Kildich, to make this forum 'tad better place to be: You learn to write in constructive manner, like Alpha, without insults and profanities. Or then you just shut up.

Appreciate the vote of confidence here, Hakkiha, though full disclosure, I have certainly had my moments in the past on these forums...=/. Realized sometime ago though that ranting and raving doesn't work that well (wow, just like real life, who would have thought), so now, unless I am excessively drunk (fairly rare for me these days), I do try to post positively and constructively. I feel it is what helps the community the most, and hopefully doesn't alienate people who I disagree with or who disagree with me. The end goal is simple: have a server relaunch better then ever before; then build a thriving classic DAOC community. We ofc won't all be best friends, but respect for differing opinions, play styles, MO's, etc...that will paramount for if/when Uth 2.0 reboots. So what better place I say is there to start treating each other as 'Uthmates' (cheesy I know) then right here on these message boards. LLU2.0, Alpha PS - Oh, and BTW, I think profanity is perfectly acceptable...just have to know how and when to use it correctly. ^^

I like that it is so one sided with you people. You must all be friends in RL or something. I have not posted for several weeks and the first time I do again I get jumped on, in the meantime people continue to ****** about the server not being up. That Proposition was in my opinion very offensive and I took offense to it. You want to try to buy people to create a server and insult this server at the same time GO SOMEWHERE ELSE AND DO IT. Also the daily "open the server" is getting just really old and tired. It will not make them work faster, it is annoying and I felt the need to retaliate. Here is MY suggestion on what would make the forum posts better. Don't fill the posts with "open the server" THEY KNOW YOU WANT IT OPEN and you pestering them ISN'T HELPING. Also don't insult the server that to me should be offensive to everyone who has played on the server and enjoyed it. I was not posting to spare people my rage at their stupidity and downright impatience but if you guys want to be annoying I can play that way too.

One way track, just like you. So as you're not any better than the rest of us, you can shut up now. Really. I have not posted for several weeks and the first time I do again I get jumped on
Please spare us from your hypocrisy - with your history you will ALWAYS get jumped on here, just take a look how many crappy posts you have written here? ...And nobody missed your verbal defecation here - actually it felt pretty nice in here for a bit when YOU, mr. Kildich, weren't posting even if ppl were/are repeating the same thing over and over again about reopening the server. I still repeat: no GM has publicly granted you permission to act as a sheriff here, so therefore you have no authority what so ever over me or anyone else in this forum. So make this community bit better and continue being shut up.

I appreciate the support here. But I'm finding that gathering the manpower required to open a server is a much larger task than I first anticipated. I have a total of 2... programmers willing to work on this project. But after speaking to them for several hours over a skype call, they informed me that to do what I am asking would require upwards of 10 guys at roughly 8-10 hours daily. Mostly due to how DaoC was originally written. The younger guy had never heard of DaoC before that call, after looking over some of the code he became very depressed. At witch point the older gentleman said that starting a company to basically re-do the whole mess and start fresh would almost be less work. I was expecting maybe 2 or 3 guys at 2k a pop, maybe 4 to 6 thousand total was ok. I cant afford to launch a cityscape type of project. And with the Camelot unchained situation, I don't think a kickstarter for a modernized classic daoc server would attract much attention. Kildich - The reason most of us are acting the way we are is because for us Daoc is and was a nostalgic experience. I'd bet a fair amount of us have been here from Daoc Beta. And for those of us who have, we are not 22 year old kids any more... This may be our last chance of having the classic Daoc experience. Now.. Open the server.
