It's been so long since I felt the need to log in to the forums that I can't even remember my login and in fact it seems to not even exist anymore BUT I made a new one just to throw a few more logs on the fire by adding in my own WTF IS GOING ON AROUND HERE????



This server has been down so long that before long the software will no longer work on existing operating systems because we will all be using a 128bit OS and most of us will be trying to play it in retirement homes.

The one big and obvious question that I have is why couldn't the old server that ran fine just been kept up since we've waited almost 1 entire year now? I'm pretty sure it was taken offline in Jan/Feb right? It's almost like these guys don't want any of us to play on their server once it is actually up since only the truly hardcore will keep checking back every month or 2 just to see that once again nothing has happened at all and no updates either.

I played here when the server was new and there were usually like 5 people online and I hope it isn't like that next time because it wasn't fun the first time and it was 2+ years until there were enough players to do much of anything, even pve grouping.

Anyway, sorry for the rant and it was fun while it lasted and maybe we can all kill each other again one of these days.

it's quite simple: GMs promised the playerbase things and fed them some bullshit about a re-launch but as always with uthgard they just talk the talk and don't walk the walk. the server is never going to be online again, ever.

it's all just a bunch of bullshit, they are not going to get this done.

Well, as far as I can see, genesis is working mostly fine now

Haaa! To be honest on Genesis I never even had a tiny bit of the real DAoC feeling which made me love this game. It felt like being in a fake world...



This was something, that I also missed when Uthgard was rather new, but even then Uthgard had more of the real spirit and later it became great. So I have absolutely no worries and problems waiting for the awesome Uthgard 2.0 even if takes some time.

The people who develop the server are programmers and not community managers. It's a free place to be and I always felt they even cared more for the players than I had in real DAoC and they're doing it in spare-time. Thanks Good job!

And whenever you come back Uthgard I WILL be there!!! GOD BLESS CAMELOT

Damn dude, ****** some more why don't you. You realize its posts like yours and others that might be discouraging the devs to work faster or to even work on the server at all. Lets face it, why should they when the player base they have to look forward to includes demanding whiny little ****** like you? Do us all a favor and GTFO.

You do realize that its posts like yours, and others, that might be encouraging the devs to continue their total disrespect and disregard for the 5000+ people who played their game for years, many of us donating money because we appreciated it? Lets face it, why should we even want to come back when we should expect the same kind of BS that drove most everybody off the server last time? Which they responded to with turning off the server forever wiping everybody's ****** to supposedly bring it back better than ever. That seems about as likely as DAOC 2 from Mythic, which no longer exists. Do us all a favor and go log back in your The Sims Online freeshard account where your simulated dev fellatio is likely much more appreciated.

See you and people like you have this idea that the devs owe you something, I could give a ****** how they me or you as long as I have a server to play on. You are not required to be here. No one is putting a gun to your head to come on the server. I have no idea why people like you are still here accept to maybe ****** up a storm and possibly ruin any chance for the server to come back. Oh and the 5000+ people that played on the FREE server for years.... no one forced them to donate. The devs are not obligated to do anything for anyone. I find it sad that people expect something for nothing and then claim they are disrespected when the people that are doing work on their behalf so they can play on a FREE server of a game that is pretty much dead otherwise. 2nd, I'll thank them for the work once there is actually any work to thank. As of today, right now, this server is vaporware and there hasn't been a real update on status in months and never has there been a date set for going online. Did you send thanks to EA/Mythic for DAOC2 yet? Do you still pray at night for the tooth fairy? Don't forget to leave cookies and milk out for Santa on Christmas Eve.

While its true that the devs are not obligated, which is your only real point, when did I become obligated to STFU for your sorry ass so that you can sit here alone handing out blowjobs to devs that may or may not have actually done anything? By the way, Mr Fellatioman, they did say they were coming back and all anybody is asking for is an update or a date, something telling us wtf is going on.

Also, how are they doing the work on my behalf if I don't have to donate, are allowed no expectations at all, and apparently the devs no longer want donations since there is no server to play on while we wait for the upgraded game? I'd still donate but WHY would anybody donate for what is apparently NOT HAPPENING?

Keeping the server up is the only thing that makes sense. I could see if this was going to take a week or maybe even a month but it's going on a year soon.
