that damn barrels are like all simplification of the game that done actual daoc on live, just :wall:

a better idea for you is probly to have a npc following you in rvr and selling giving you pots when you need ?
or maybe perma full buff can be better than better ?
oh i know that you want !
you want a npc irl playing your char for you ? THAT COULD MAKE THE GAME VERY EASYER :wall:

the simplification of the videogames gameplay is not a daoc problem, is the actual problem of generation who want to still play better with still less skill

Yawn.

We are surprisingly trying to be productive here (though it might not seem like it), so the sarcasm can exit please to the side and go play by itself on the playground.

Love that people with actual thoughtful input are posting here, as there is still a debate in my mind as to how to re-launch (if Blue decides to). I expect a very strixt 1.65 patch level, with maybe a few accommodations for making this ~13 year old gem of a game fully enjoyable and sustainable for the next X amount of years (i.e. as long as Blue and the GM's want to support it).

I'm thinking there's some dueling going on between GMs. I think GMs should post the win loss and characters types. :)

Hmm. Things like pots vs barrels don't really matter to me. What ruins the game for a guy like is a lot of classes being considered useless. Champions, Thanes, wizards, valewalkers, friars etc are all super cool classes but good luck finding a group at 50. This isn't anyone's fault, its just a product of unfinished game design.

The absolute biggest turn off for me is people's attitude. There is nothing worse than joining a group, wiping once or twice and then having the group split because "we just won't win" with this group. Or having to answer your phone midfight and then being asked to leave because you "lost the fight for us" never mind that we haven't wiped once in the last hour. What person wants to put all their time into getting 50 and templated when that's what they have to look forward to?

And this unnecessary and stupid sarcasm?

Its the same have 11 bottles with 9 charges or one barrel in your inventory.
Uthgard will need some farm simplification. No one want farm any item for weeks waiting 5hours repops. Need improve rvr and not weeks and weeks of farming. We all have jobs, family... and dont have time like 12 years ago to spend ours and hours to do nothing.

why not 1000 charges per bottle or maybe 1,3232x10^23 ? why not unlimited charges and every "barrel" is handed out for free? this would be a simplification, too. so tell us at what point it is "better" for the community and at which point it is making the game too easy?

Even though your being sarcastic, potions can't be unlimited, potions play a huge roll in stabilizing the economy. When money comes in it must come back out or else you got inflation. Prices go up and it becomes harder for the newer players. Uthgard needs as many ways as possible for money to go out to npcs.
