Even if people who supports staff claims that we should let them work on it without asking, It seems normal to me that they should give us more information about it.
And don't say to me that they don't have time to post a 5 min post like Nayru did 1 month ago  Whatever people think or say, it's not a good thing that staff keeps saying nothing about it  Anyway, I'm expecting good or bad news soon, like all of us |

I would LOVE an update...but again...they don't work for you...you aren't paying them...NO ONE is paying them. They have NO obligation to update anyone. In fact I see outright animosity here because many people feel like the Uthgard staff OWES them a response. Again as a Uthgard staff member I would simply ban those people right from the start as I wouldnt want them on the server. Either way GO GO GADGET UTHGARD STAFF!!! |

Lol, I think your reaction a little excessive
it is a right to have doubts about work when there is not a single update about it since february.Of course it's volunteer free job, and what? If there is a community behind the server (and there is) it is normal to make some annoucements, I never said it's a due but it's part of the job imo. Because there is no news, my conclusion is that maybe there is no work at the moment, maybe I'm wrong (and honestly I hope I am), yes I've seen as you all saw that sometimes 1 GM is online on Daoc Portal, but I'm afraid that there is not enough concrete work to update it on forum. As always, this post won't help anyone or make it moves faster, but I'm fed up of radical optimistic and fake support of some people  |

And I feel the same way. I am worried that the GM interest is dwindling and that the server will fade away. I do wish we would get an update. I think a good solid GM update would help with getting people ready to WANT to come back. Help us talk to other people and try to get more people so the server has a real strong start.
BUT I am not a GM and as much as I might want it...I don't feel in any way they are abligated to. Yes I think it would be a smart move on their part as it would get 100's of people instantly interested and get the forum going again. Lets hope they give one but I do wish people would stop harrassing them. If I was a GM I would be a lot more willing to quit with some of the responses I see here =( |

I think the gms are smart enough to realize that ppl who are part of a community differ in personality. Most of the Uthgard players are calm and friendly, but in fact the raging , rude ppl are always the ones who get more attention. I think uthgard has a good community at all and the ppl who wait and stay will be the hard core and part of a geat new beginning. There are still no new official news, but you see gms being active in forums. It ´s not much but it ´s enough to come to the conclusion Uthgard is not dead yet, otherwise they would have announced that already to get rid of the project. The only thing that worries me is the supposition that the relaunch may take a lot more time than even expected by the staff itself and it ´s very hard to keep patiently.  |

Looks like there are still people "expecting" updates? You expect them to tell you something Forgotten? You know I "expect" you to have a brain and stop being stupid but that is not likely to happen either.
To Jerrian, I hope you are right but honestly if I were a dev and every time I looked at the forum I saw that another moron was "expecting" ****** I would be like "who the ****** do these people think they are we are doing them a favor and spending our time and they ******?" Yes I would say the devs are much smarter and more interested in a COMPLETE product that is not RUSHED than some of the idiots on there but still their patience with idiots must be getting thin. |

Well here is a simple lesson: if you tell what there will be on launch, no one will expect more than that, right? But if you don't, people will start guessing/expecting things. @GivingUpdates: this is related with dedication at the project and mostly community care. No one force anybody of course, but it will show how much those 2 things are important to staff in general. There was a time when Uthgard 1.0 existed and maaaany toons and arrpees arose... but now:

Look I am not saying I wouldn't like an update but when people say they expect news good or bad soon that ****** me off. People like that need to shut the hell up and stop trying to get attention for their stupidity. Also it has been asked OVER AND OVER AGAIN, you don't think they see the constant posting of the same damn question over again? THEY KNOW PEOPLE WANT AN UPDATE. SO SHUT UP.
