I agree to an extent about crossrealming. I dealt often with people crosslogging for RvR.
I also enjoy crossrealming. I myself never abused the gift. I enjoy playing Mid sometimes, but my home is and always will be Albion.

Unfortunately, not everybody is that fair regarding crossrealming so I really hope it won't be an option on Uthgard 2.0

I think the negative effects of crossrealming could be rectified by creating a timer of 24 hours that started after you logged out of a realm and would keep you from logging into another until the time was up. Seems like a fine way to allow players the freshness of another realm without deleting all their characters while also keeping the abusers at bay. Also maybe saves time policing crossrealmers

24 Hour Timer might mean that if you choose to Log from Mid to Alb, you would not be able to log back to Mid for 24 hours. You could continue to play Alb during the 24 hours. I am a x-realmer that would find this frustrating and i think it would decrease a lot of the type of x-realming that is detrimental to the server.

to clarify: you can always play the realm you last played without interruption, the timer would only prevent you from playing another realm for 24 hours (or whatever the timeframe would be) cheers

Yep almost everyone who would be cross realming knows how to bypass the timer. They probably also know how to be logged into two realms at the same time. IMO, cross realming needs to be supported (like on Uthgard 1.0) or NOT allowed at all.

that is not correct, the timer is not checking against your IP but your account, so you can reboot your router as often as you want, as soon as you login with your account you will be affected by that timer cheers

Since people have different accounts for different realms, this does not matter. It was not possible to have toons of different realms on one account on Uthgard 1.0. One realm per server per account. That's how it works. That's how it worked since 2001. Always has been, always will. If you want to play on a different realm on the same server, you have to log in with a different account.
