I think it is awesome that Uthgard is being so open about everything going on and want to keep us all up to date. Keep it up and cant wait for more updates and all the new improvements.

Yes, they normally do that. We just gave them a higher speed for this video because we were impatient :p

I like what you guys are doing to revamp uthgard. I joined about a year and a half ago and really enjoyed myself on the server after being 5+ years out of the game. I would like to state that I am currently playing on Origins/Genesis and would love to come back to Uthgard. I think you guys should take more of a democratic approach on your server. Instead of just implementing what you want, put out a poll uthgard.net and let the players decide. From my experience on uthgard, and playing on origins/genesis these are some things I'd like to see on uthgard. Something that really upset me as a player was taking certain amenities out of the game like taking wyverns from dl to innis on hib. Something I enjoy about Genesis/origins is the porters which allows you to travel the land much more quickly. Yes, this wasn't in the "Original" DAoC, but I believe it was for the better. Another thing was what you guys did to Thid right before you closed off the game in lowering the cap Realm Rank and forcing players out into Emain at RR2-3 to face veteran players of rr10-12. The removal of XP off. Watching players plunge themselfs off Druim Ligen countless times and wasting hard earned gold to repay their con just to stay in battle grounds is just ridiculous. No i did not just play in the battle grounds. I capped out my druid to rr4l2, and got him into Emain, but Emain isn't always hopping with loads of players, So i enjoyed my alts in thid and other bgs. In a way I think you guys put a nail in your own coffin. You can call this a rant and hate on it all you guys want, but i think some of these thinks make the game better. I would love to see these thing reimplemented into the game.

Cool. Is pathing livelike? I can't remember after having played on uthgard for so long hehe :-) Maybe I can remember being with my ranger in a spiralling room, shooting mobs as they run upwards (and just just flying straight like on previous uthgard setting).

Just a heads up for the newcommers, as I myself am cringing every time I see this occur: You can not make demands from a privately initiated server. As I see it the constructive approach would be to bring suggestions, not demands, jesus christ.

Time and time again it has been proven that this server is not democratic, and polls are not the means of making it democratic. Eat what is served or starve. The product is high quality. The decisions are human.

Sorry if this has been answered before but I have been away from Uthgard for a while and looking to rejoin with 2.0. Does this work on pathing mean that Necromancers will be implemented upon relaunch?

Thanks in advance for all the work Uthgard staff is doing.

I like the progress and all that new energy put into the server!

I only started 6 month before server reset and got serveral chars RvR ready. Since my time is very limited and i invested my vacation to get started on this server (was a very hard start for a new guy on the server) I wonder if you maybe could also do something for players with limited time.

My Money, Equip, Lvl , RR doesnt hurt me as much as my crafting skill. I read this by many other older players too.

I really want to start all over again, but i don't want to invest again that much time into crafting (almost 3 leg. crafter). Since I like to level from time to time solo with my selfmade equip it hurts me a lot.

So how about only giving back trading skills under certain circumstances? :

1. Only same Name players who rescued their names in the beginning

2. crafting skills will be back after 6 month (or maybe more) [this won't hurt anyone. New people have a lot of time to catch up crafting. Players with a lot of time want to be ready fast and will craft too before that time. It would just benefit players who don't have a lot of time to play daoc and already invested a lot of time into (more or less) senceless crafting. Also it was a pain in the ass with all that wrong fail calculation]

3. maybe any additional requirement due to QQing people will come up with, which i can not think of yet (maybe pay some platins to some NPC for the money other crafters would have used to have the same skill, so people don't cry it is for free and has no influence on the new server economy)

= Happy new and old players =)
