This. Also my biggest thing is not my Inf, my money, or my real rank.

Its crafting. I started Sanguine over on Origins and we used to have every single craft LGM for all to use. With IP addresses being tied to accounts I can no longer just /send someone the login for the sanguinsc account and tell them to download Loki 1.4.

Now me/officers have to re-level a LGMSC............gag. Then how do we allow people to login and SC their own gear?

Its a massive headache.

They could just pay someone to do the job if they aren't able to do it themselves. That's how economy works! :P

Why didn't people who wanted to solo on Alb just drop the 100plat on a 75 s/c charge? :?:
There will be a group of people out there who will want this realm to be entirely Mythic-like. Exactly like vanilla, drop rates/xp rates, basically everything and you will not be able to please them unless it is exactly like vanilla.

These people have their nostalgia goggles on so tight it's cutting off the bloodflow to their brain and they believe that vanilla was perfect and nothing was wrong with it.

Most likely because they either couldn't afford it or thought that they might be better off farming it. I mean you buy your convenience goods as well, but would you buy a cinema becaus you want to watch a movie? (and yes I know the relation is not the same, but the statement still fits.)

Its much cheaper to use a guild crafter then pay someone to SC for you.

You don't say?

Still doesnt change the fact that in case you arent allowed to give them access, they have exactely two options:
a) create their own leg crafters
b) find someone to do the job.

As most people don't want to go with option a), there's only option b) left. And guess what? That's not so bad economy wise, as it vitalizes the business with goods & services.

And don't get me wrong, I'd rather prefer to share crafters as well :D

Thats what I am trying to figure out right now. They say with the origins family account thing it might be possible.

My original point was........I don't care my Inf was soooo close to rr8, the template, my money............its leveling all the stupid crafters again. Yay stand around camelot crafting. Much fun.

You aren't forced to do it again, tho.

But you're right ... losing especially craftskills and the character levels is the most inconvenient aspect of the wipe for me as well. But I can live with that ... even though I might never level so many toons again :P

actually i am still no fan of a wipe... BUT: the feedback i got, especially from long time inactive player is so positive, i guess i might even win more friends back than i will lose.

And looking at what has been achieved, i guess there are very few that will lose more than most individual player from my guild.

Some of them several RR11, or even RR12, (every single RP done by the same person, as we don't share accounts) the richest player on the server, dozens of legendary crafter... and after some QQ for sure, they now even look forward to the fun on a crowded server and with a big guild again.

So please stop crying me a river for your 1 lowbob char that will get deleted for gods sake. (just kidding)

Does that mean you're going to zerg everything you can until rr11 again ? or are you going to try it with fairness ? :D

Char Wipe = Uthgard Death

Real Rank wipe = many people that rejoin, and a better and balanced server restart

my realm rank wipe wishlist;

affect only lvl 40+ toon,
all lvl 40-49 toon have his realm rank adjusted to 2l0
all lvl 50 toon have his realm rank adjusted to 2l5
every lvl 50 toon with rank 4l0 to 5l9 have his rr adjusted to 3l0
every lvl 50 toon with rank 6l0 to 7l9 have his rr adjusted to 3l5
every lvl 50 toon with rank 8l0 to 9l9 have his rr adjusted to 4l0
every lvl 50 toon with rank 10l+ have his rr adjusted to 4l5

or something similar.

my 2 cents

Full whipe or no whipe, if you want a fresh Start it has to be from 0.

Only thing thats ok is Setting all Chars to lvl 1 but let them keep their titles ;)

Same procedure as on every server james, same procedure.

doh sry, i always forget "dinner for one" is a more a german thing.

For sure we will zerg again t'ill around RR6, maybe do some nicefighting from there on for a brief period of time, to pretend we also rule in nicefights, and zerg everything again from RR11 on (as it doesn't matter beyond RR10L10 anyways with old RA). It worked, why change a working system? :D

Imo, i had no real money, i worked hard to get all i had and was not much if compared to other hardcore players.
I arrived in this server about a year ago when population was starting to drop a little. I didn't have barrels or bottles and i had to grind to get my first char up to 50, and i could reach rr5 only after 8 months of hard work.
My seocnd char was a hunter, the class i always liked. I spent a long time in Thidranki because i had no TP and life was too hard for me, but i insisted to play and did it, got to 4L2 and 50 the same day.
After that i went to real RvR and got zerged over and over, at the point i started to beleive my hunter had major problems to start with (race, skills, wrong RA). I stopped playing it in RvR for a few months and went farming with it, but then i felt i was loosing the best part of the game. when i could afford it i did a full RA respec to fill the gap and took it in DF. That firt day i was able to kill a NS rr7, 2 alb rr10, and an rr7 Mentalist. Wow, it was a big win for me, i was only 4L2 at that time.
It took me hard work to bring it up to 5L5, many times i died but many times i killed, and when among my kills there was some high rr i was happy to have choosen the right way. I didn't fear anymore high rank, i knew i could win if everything went well and i had a bit of luck, i started to love my toon and i was trying all my best to improve my way of playing it. I didn't mind all the nerfing that was going on, i didn't mind the remouval of Taj or BGs, or the rest. But never in my mind would have come the decision to wipe the intere server just to make "things even for all". Absourd, you will never make things even for all the base players, NEVER!! The only sure thing you are going to achieve is the loss of dedicated players that won't trust you anymore, no matter what you say now.
Open your mind, you still can do it now, it's not too late. Rewamp the game, remove all items that you need to take off, reset to 0 the SC of all crafted peices that chars wear, maybe remove money if too much, but that's it, if you still want a dedicated base of players that make a good community and go around speaking well of this server. Because something you forgot is the kind of good pubblicity that ppl can do to you promoting the server to thier friends and relatives. Who would promote a server that has wiped all efforts made by dedicated players in the past ???
Wiping all char and efforts wil be a boomerang that sooner or later will smash you in the teeth, who will you blame then ??

Enjoy the server and remember kids, no matter how hard you work and what you do on this new server at any given point the GM's can take it all away and all you will be asked to do is smile and "trust em."

As long as they don't take away the fun it doesnt matter :P
