This is awesome. All those people who have been on the server for a while and have high RR all have to start at 0 with nothing. This is GREAT!. Nothing makes me laugh harder at all the time they spent on this server and they get to keep nothing.

Its not becasue Origins is the better server, they have lags, server crashes all the time. And so many bugs I dont know if someone could count them.

No. Why would RR6-7+ players want a fresh start? To level all over again? See how many of them say they will never return to Uthgard if they have to redo it ALL again (go back on this thread and read their posts)? Why arent they saying the same for Origins, why are they willing to restart on Origins and not Uthgard? Uthgard is by far less buggy, yet they all pick Origins for a clean start and not Uthgard, why? You still have to relevel & refarm everything no matter the server. So, obviously its NOT a just a fresh start. There are differences in the two servers.

Actually, the population of Uthgard dropped dramatically even before Origins even launched (Jan 16th - server cap of 500) and coincidentally after Thid closed (Dec 31).

There seemed to be a rush of players right before Dec 31st too (probably to get one last chance to play in Thid).
There might have been some zerg RvR from all the surge of people that came back for Thid and capped 4L2 with no where else to play, but that wont last. Do you really think future 3L0 lvl 50s will all come out and play? Zerging is extremely frowned upon on this server as well.

And what would they zerg? If they zerg a high RR group, they will just long, there will be no inc. Mids might be more open to zerging. Try doing it on alb lol. Eventually you get mids zerging everyone down, high RR group quit, albs are stubborn and rarely form counter zergs, so they quit. Never really see hibs zerging emain, so they will quit too (no one likes getting zerged down).

And even IF you have say 2 groups of albs, ones a newb group and one is high RR. The high RR group will just laugh at the RR3 group instead of help them zerg down a 2-3fgm. High RR group will have too much pride, they will go back out 8 man and try to 8v8, then get zerged down a few more times and log.


If you cant even get 4L2s to come out, what makes you think you will get 3L0s to come out and play? Really bad change imo.

No, everyone is saying what is on their minds, because it doesnt matter if you get banned for saying what you actually want anymore. Your characters will be deleted anyway. Players are already frustrated at staff for all the recent changes in the last 1.5 - 2 years. This is just the final blow.

GM , u CANT force casual to go to frontier. Its impossible.

1st test to force casual to frontier : nerfing BG to 4L2
casual reaction => reroll all time they cap
2nd test to force casual to frontier : nerfing BG to lvl 42
casual reaction => bye bye
3nd test to force casual to frontier : wipe
High RR reaction => bye bye

BUT there is a simple, easy, soft, happy, close to live, fun, not intrusive solution : Making infinite BG for casual.

OK its a compromise but trust me, there is NO solution to force casual to go to frontier. Casual will NEVER come on frontier.

I believe you guys should act fast instead of waiting.

Origins is doing very ****** atm - they are doing their best, I´ll give them that, but the servers are totally unplayable, the odds are very unbalanced and there is not much to wait for in Origins, except the experience of old RA-s in RvR.

Do the wipe asap, leave the new RA-s and just work on them ASAP - while people are leveling their new chars, you focus on the RA-s which people want.

Give some kind of an XP boost for people to come back, but.. do give some kind of a promise that you won´t wipe chars for the next year. People have always seen Uth as the stable and _safe_ server, this revamp might give some people second thoughts.

BG-s are great, beacuse RvR is usually full of people who roll only with friends or specific groups - so BG is a great choice for people who don´t want to become anti social - let them have an alternative. By fact the wannabe elitist people have always complained about BG because they don´t want to group with the casual gamer, they want their RP-s and that.. is a one way street which isn´t balanced. So BG would fix that situation - let the elitist kill other elitists from other realms.

Include all the stuff you removed lately (barrels, +50 focus crafting, jadi jadi jada).

Oh also - add the public code necro´s and bonedancers or ask your friend-coders for the better versions - people are tired of waiting for 4+ years for stuff to get fixed. But I understand your point as well - you don´t want to release something you know isn´t 100% fixed, but.. people would rather have a semi-bugged char than wait 5 years for an almost fixed char.

Even though people love the classics, most people have a life and want to enjoy everything else as well - uber classic is a waste of time, that is for sure. Having a semi-custom or custom-classic server will make people want to play more and have fun instead of just grinding for a month and then realizing the RvR status has changed so much that people need to start re-doing.

This is the time to ACT, not wait -- people are sick and tired of Origins bs, it might get fixed and it might not. But why wait until it will for sure rather than act now?

Well, all i got to say is i like the idea of wiping everyone's realm rank and levels! Now what ****** me off is i spent many years, getting these trophies and gear. what will ****** me off is the fact the trophies i have you will never see in-game ever again from tajendi all the way back to events. If your wiping everything there's no since in even bringing uthgard back, period. Alot of players on origins have been telling me they wont be back, at all. We have spent to much time over and over again for such a manner to happen. Origins has a cap of 1300 players, one that uthgard has never seen likes of. So why even think of reopening the server? its pointless, origins is doing to well for the moment. Everyone loves the server, the only problem with it is the lag and the problems they have, but you have to think. This server has only been open for a week tops. Just think when the year is over and the server is running so smooth, what it will do to uthgard. There is no chance here, at all. Just look at the population now, and you think wiping everyone will change this? All i have to say is, wipe my level and realm rank. Dont wipe my hard earnings, otherwise, i wont be back, period.
