The fact of the matter is casters have to deal with CC because they are essential to the group's success (just like clerics... are you not going to group clerics because they don't have determination 5? .... hahaha). if a Paladin is CC'ed an entire fight, he has 0 utility, whereas the same player using an Armsman is going to be much more useful / non-cced. This is why I'll be rolling an armsman come OLD ra's. If Uthgard were staying NEW RA's, I would definately be rolling a paladin because they have more utility than an armsman (endo / af / heal / dmg chants in addition to slam, intercept). Although, it would be hard to give up an armsman's dashing defense, I think the pros of all those chants outweigh the cons.

Nope The only reason for paladin, even with new ra's, would be the laziness of people to use regpots! In nearly every other regard an armsman is way superior: offering way more dmg, has an anytime snare, has stoicism, has better ra choices. And what does the paladin offer? Endu+Resists (given the fact that they actually use them^^) and endu is neglectable if you use pots.
