Haven't played in a while..just found out about the free server...currently have a theurg...was wanting some recommendations on classes and specs..I usually play melee types..so advice on melee types would be great along with advice on my theurg, I do like the class a lot.

Thanx

Reaver is always needed for PvE raids. Many people roll a matter cabby in order to make money. This is a terrible way to make cash(I say this as someone with a 50 matter cabby).

Make a reaver, Saracen +15 qck on character creation rest of the stats however you like. Autotrain with Crush/Shield high rest in Soul Rending. At 48 you can use a respec stone in order to go Flex or you can use your free level 40 respec(must be used before you ding 41) to drop crush then save points till you ding 48. That method is cheaper but you be relegated to using slam over and over if you want to do any damage.

Reaver's are not expensive to template if you don't try and cap piety/soul rending.

Mercs are great for RvR but not needed in PvE unless there are no reavers available.
There will be a group of people out there who will want this realm to be entirely Mythic-like. Exactly like vanilla, drop rates/xp rates, basically everything and you will not be able to please them unless it is exactly like vanilla.

These people have their nostalgia goggles on so tight it's cutting off the bloodflow to their brain and they believe that vanilla was perfect and nothing was wrong with it.

Or if u don't wanna do pve only.. roll a merc and get a cheap 99% temp and start rvr :) Remember to spec crush while leveling for AT.

Just stick with your theu - most people in here are pretty melee-guys, but theurgs do just fine - necessary for every raid, important in rvr and also quite good when soloing - I never played one, as saracens can't be theus, but I really like the class :)

oh, and welcome!

With old RA's on the very near horizon, you may want to take some things into consideration.

Merc - roll this class if you want to be the damage dealer of the group. Get Determination 5 RA.
Armsman - roll this class if you enjoy protecting others / snaring opponents. Get Determination 5 RA.
Theurgist - this class is for interrupting enemies with loads of pets, not a killer by any means. Pulsing Blade Turn isn't too shabby either (46 earth).
Sorceror - Best CC class and CC is what will WIN or LOSE a fight. Also a great DPS when paired with a cabalist's body debuff.
Cabalist - Always needed because of a) disease b) nearsight and c) body debuff (when sorceror is also in group)
Cleric - If you enjoy keeping people alive, this is the class.
Wizard - Don't do it... Needs a lot of work from Uthgard staff

Friar - Not worth it, low dps / healing and not enough utility.
Reaver & Paladin - Not worth it. You will be CC'ed for entire fights and frustrated.
