Lw 1 and endu 3 might be enough for all support and caster classes, but for sure it's not enough for a reaver. :P

and armsmans?

i don't think are enough too ... expecially against very good grp's with bards & shamans providing free endo5 all time ...

for support and caster classes i agree, prolly endo4 (not 3 at all) is sufficient combined with lw2.

but maybe i'am wrong.

We already ran pretty successfull only using an armsman. But to be fair it should be mentioned that we were a caster heavy grp. Nonetheless you don't need to rely on the endu chant, not even as a tank group.

A good grp will simply chain cc the paladin after det is gone, so he won't provide anything to the fight besides his endurance chant. And even then most of your group members will be out endu range soon anyway given the fact that the paladin is cc'd. It's sad, but it is like this. Paladin is already the weakest deftank - for a castergrp I'd suggest to take an arms over an paladin even nowadays - and with old ra's well... rip my beloved endubots :(

Yes very unfortunate :(

Caster/Supporter need Endu3 + LW1 for the fights. They burn endu while casting too, but it isnt like they are running all the fight.
Armsmen need Endu4 pots and at least lw2, otherwise they run out of endu way too fast. Good offtanks won't have any problems without permanent endu5 running. They should use endu reg pots anyways, because paladins weren't able to provide endu for them in the whole fight with the amazing 1k chant range :D
Hibs/Mids have an advantage in terms of costs. Beside that i'd even say that Albs are in a better position, because now the deftank deals damage too and it is possible to take out overextending offtanks on your own.

And this is why I'll roll armsman with polearm/shield instead of paladin. Thanks Byun!!

Ok I didnt want to create a new thread so I do ask here, because I am thinking before rolling :D

Do Mercs on Uthgard spec 42 in shield? Seriously? Would a 50/50 spec without shield be to weak for grp rvr?

All Mercs spec 42 Shield. It offers a lot more utility than going 50 weapon would. If you AT as Crush until 48 you can do 39 weapon 42 Shield 50 DW rest into Parry or if you enjoy switching weapons, 29/29 Thrust/Slash 42 Shield 50 DW rest into Parry but I'm not sure that's possible anymore with Tajendi removed. :P
[3:10pm] <myrmidon^> You have to be a c*** to be awesome at daoc
[3:10pm] <myrmidon^> that's what I learnt
[3:11pm] <Frosty_> then why does austerim suck
lordgriffon wrote:Oh by the way... ever seen a group of 8 smite clerics? Or play against a group like that? I have. Absolute devastation. The group that runs up against them can't kill them fast enough because smite clerics have sooooooo many tools at their disposal combined with decent ranged damage with 8 of them dudes doing it!

Should be doable if you can get a couple Dragon Rings.
