I don't see your point. I agree with anyone that braemar shouldn't be main rvr, but with the other content in luv's post I saw a reason to state my attitude. I'm pretty sure having read the post carefully. edit: well, this topic has already been debated over and over again. we really can't add much new anymore. |

It's not like that. Maybe some1 that dont like to lvl solo or be rejected by the high RR grp will stop playing when high lvl or do a braemar char again.
If some of them dont understand what high lvl RvR means that is their problem. While you do 1000 rps from 300 kills in braemar, you do those rps from 1 solo kill or 4-5 party kills in emain. Someone said that staying in braemar while people do much more rps in emain, and when getting 50 and reaching high lvl RvR complaining about high RR and RA's of others it is lame and it's true. But if people enjoy low lvl / skill rvr let them play there, because i suppose you will not like to have in the fight near you someone who it is not enough skilled and cant help you. And for lowbies i just wanna say that until you reach 50 you will surely get some friends and you will party with them, even that some players / guilds wont invite you because they think that they own emain and when they are there everybody should leave so they can play. More and more people joined emain lately so you might find it more interesting than before. |

@Panach, i think you learn Nothing in Braemar. I am leveling a RM atm, he is 28 and i make a bit RvR, for some RAs, BUT Braemar RvR is the stupid RvR i ever seen...
You dont have any assist, healer buffs str for a caster, no stick, no heal and split for only one enemy. You want to tell me that you learned something in Braemar? I played my classes on I50 server, its better then LowLvL-KB-RvR |
|
Your Braemar groups obviously suck, Caver.
I know some people there, and they do assist, they stick, and the healers/shamis buff so everyone's confident. Sometimes things go wrong and the players don't listen to you. But sometimes they listen to you and learn from their faults. l50 servers don't have a community like uthgard has. |

By saying this Isador I'm really getting concerned. See, if people already
show their willpower to organize something like a pro-group why aren't they able to do it in Emain as well!? See, last night at around 01:00AM!!! a guy in Midgard was calling for help, because 2groups Albs we're running around in Braemar while EmainMacha is almost empty as usual. Characters:
Midgard: Nothing atm Albion: Nothing atm Hibernia: suxx ^^ |

The basic things work in braemar. Of course an emain group does better.
I'd guess the difference in emain lies in rr and SGs/experience with the people you play with. I mean, a fg high rrs has been playing together for ages, how could a new group possibly beat them? I have some willpower but the hunter is definetly not the class every group needs. edit: I'm not on at 1:00 AM but it's true, the last time in emain I was afk 3 hours and chatted with a friend because nothing happened... Isador, the different is: Braemar ---> lvl30; I50 ---> lvl50
You cant learn, with lvl30, how to play your char! Try to level a Grp Char, look in the internet how to make a template, learn to play your char with other highRR-people, then go and make Emain RvR on Uthgard. When mollo says, RvR with lowies sucks. It sucks. I have a lvl44 aug healer in midgard, without SC. A lvl50 BM can kill me with 3 Hits. Any questions? |
|
Yes, what makes you think I have the time to do another lvl 50 char?
And hunters don't get new abilites at 50, just some new styles. Of course that's different with other classes. But the basic rvr tactics are not, and this is what you learn in braemar. And all classes have abilites at lvl 30 which you can learn. Just not all. |
|
So you have AT in Bow at lvl30? A Reaver has his Leviathan Style at 30?
Your Skill is perfect in Braemar? but ok, play in Braemar, i will play in Emain. HF & GL |
|
A new reaver can learn from braemar rvr. Just not his levi style.
All the time I try to tell you that you learn some basic things in braemar, and that there are other things you'll get to know in emain. But I either don't write it out good enough, or you want to understand something else. And just to let you know: I played in braemar and learned some things there, now I'm 50 and play in emain. edit: what do you mean with AT? hunters don't autotrain in bow. |
|
Hmm... ye but i didnt talk only about hunter ^^
|
|
hmm problem is that in emain there are more keeps, so you take keeps and roam
but in braemar, people take keep nad camp it, which is something absolutely different, tanks learn just how to break gates and casters how to spam ae spells. but in emain you need to follow MA and assist and what is even more important when is it better to not assist and rupt someone. Casters have to prekite, support has to find goood position where they are not interrupted but can see his buddies and that's just splinter of what you will never learn in any BG based on one tower. |

In my opinion Braemar and Wilton have a more "beautiful" RvR sometimes. (don't know how to express it in an other way)
Something that I really like in Braemar is that you can play with tactic and try to stave off the attacks of the other realms at the keep. That's RvR how I, and my whole guild likes. Call me a "camper" if you want but this is RvR how it should be. Maybe there are more people who like this kind of RvR and don't want to "roam arround" like in Emain and go to another keep if someone is defending it. So why do you want to destroy the fun of those peoples with for example turning off /xpoff? Is it just because you need more victims in Emain for your high RR char with high-end equip ? Are those voices talking to you again to kill other players without high RR? Think about it... MfG Thanathos Last edited by draco on Apr 16, 2007 16:32, edited 1 time in total.

@ caver
if you get st buff on casters and assist on fighters... don't you think such people need to practise before going to emain?you would group in emain with such people? when i see such guy in emain i think it s too late to learn them. if you have some use with daoc, you ll play better a class you never played with than a newbie that has some use with his class but never did any rvr. so i think some news abilities is not the most important. till you can learn bases of rvr it s nice and at level 50 you'll practise with your leviathan style, it'll take 30 minutes to get use with such thing. but it s much more difficult to learn how to play in rvr. So yes BG are needed when you never played daoc. if friskey had played a bit more in braemar maybe she would have learn as fast to play but wont spend millions RPs for other realms... <img src="http://www.fallenearth.fr/daoc/daoc2.php?player=Panachou">
